Exactly. Bamboo is a no-no when it comes to bdsm and caning (proper CP). Rattan is the material of of choice unless partaking in what they call judicial caning, then you move up to koboo.

I think you will find that the cane is a far, far more severe instrument than a riding crop. You would need to do your research well, to find an escort who would take a caning of any severity.

This is not my thing, I am more of a gentle, sensual spanker, both giving and receiving, but in the BDSM area you do come across SPs who offer proper caning, either way. However, if she is receiving you will probably find that she charges per stroke of the cane. It can end up very expensive, as it should if you are dealing in real pain and marking that might mean she cannot work for a period.
