Women's football.
Fed up of being tricked into thinking I am clicking an article about "real" football only to find it's the women's version.
BBC are the worst!
Yeah it's constant and i'm pissed off seeing headlines about how Chelsea and Arsenal are playing or the result of their Champions league match and thinking "I wasn't aware they were playing" only to find out it was the woman's game so not fucking interested
Whatever that last international competition was when loads of games were on the BBC and then listening to all the pundits bigging it up with comments like "The standard is exceptional; it's as good as anything you'll see in the premier league" then the others all nodding and agreeing "Yeah definitely" while keeping a straight face
Now they want the same prize money for the FA cup final and no doubt the same big pay cheques for playing at the big clubs as the male stars but for me the pay should be proportionate to the following.
If they can sell out stadiums with full price tickets and get the same TV revenue and the same merchandise sales then they should get the same wages but until then you get paid less; far less.
Tennis is another example where the drive for equality in prize money actually seeing the woman getting more pro rata, Wimbledon prize money is the same but the men play best of 5 sets and the woman still only best of 3
