Author Topic: Parking in Clarence Docks in Leeds  (Read 3426 times)

As there seem to be a few girls working in that area I presume that a couple of members at least will have driven to meets at Clarence Docks.
What's it like for parking? Can you recommend anywhere handy to park whilst on a day time mid week punt?

TIA

The paid for car park is safest and not too expensive.  There's also Tesco Express there and free parking for two hours on the street outside it.  Not many spaces there but I got lucky last week.

Hehe, I just read that as lucky with a punt, not free parking.

Maybe I'm tight but I think the Clarence Dock car park is expensive so I always allow time to find a 2 hour freebie slot.

Having been there 3 times now, I've been fairly lucky in finding street parking straight away.

If you park at the car park there with a parking card you get 25hrs parking for £15 & 1yr to use it up.

Free parking on Chadwick rd.

But be aware Plod camera van patrols up there very often.

How come there's so many girls working from there? Are they all through an agency?

I've seen 1 there before but she claimed to know nothing about the other working girls...?!

A lot of Leeds based agencies have apartment in Clarence Docks as do a fair few indies. I am aware that a few have been raided in recent years mainly ones with several EE girls working at one places. I would personally park in the carpark as when I worked there I was always getting parking tickets at all times of day and night (albeit must admit I once parked in a loading bay at 2am I was still suprised to get one at 2.30am)

After 8pm and until 8am streets with single yellow and no yellow lines are fine ie Chadwick street as already mentioned .

Wasn't aware of that, I've been lucky with the free on-street parking but will keep this mind as there's bound to be a time I won't be so lucky.

I've got my parking til Nov 2015 & have used up 6hrs already. But paying £15 for a card you get this from the desk near the exit & the lady is very helpful there. Then when you go in the car park you use the left barrier.
