Haven't seen any of the repeats on the forces channel but old enough to remember seeing it first time round. If I remember the later series did not even have the character Blake in them. He upped and left and was never replaced . Have to agree about Servalan and Jenna. I bet Servalan would make a great dominatrix ( if your into that sort of thing)

Bluesky, Yeah, I watched it originally and just about remember that Blake disappears half way through the second series I think.  Now 43 years later I might find out why.

If I remember correctly, Blake reappears right at the end of the series.

All I really remembered from Blake's 7 was the Liberator, Blake, Avon, Jenna and Servalan, Blake disappearing and the fact that you could usually see nipples thanks to the flimsy costumes they wore. (The female actors that is).  Re watching it I can now form a mature judgement on the series.  Bad acting, wobbly sets, crap special effects = 1970's british sci-fi at its best and still watching it for the nipples.

He probably realised it was a load of old tosh and didn't want to be associated with it any more  like Starman says bad acting wobbly sets and crap special effects ( although considering when it was made that was state of the art at the time ) too young to notice the nipples though

That's most likely the reason.  Gareth Thomas, who played Blake, was a RSC actor.

I didn't realise they made so many episodes of it ( 52 over 4 seasons) also forgot the lovely Glynis Barber was in it. I can't fathom out how it lasted so long especially as the main character Blake up and left the show

I didn't realise they made that many as well. I think I probably watched the first 2 series and then maybe lost interest when Blake left.  Likewise forgot about Glynis Barber.  So maybe I didn't watch the later episodes as I'm sure I would have remembered a piece of top class totty such as Soolin!
