Yep a Audi Quattro is a great car but big ?

Offline Bogof60

Maybe not by todays standards but in its day yes a surprisingly big car.

E Types were again a very long car for the sixties and did not fit into many standard sized garages..
When i owned my Quattro back in the 80,s I lived in a modern development and my Quattrro was too long for my garage. My friend and neighbour had an E Type that used to sit outside with a cover on in winter for the same reason.

Without wishing to reveal my current classic i have had to be a bit choosy when looking at the size of garage on my last two houses.

Yes I found the same problem after I bought my house that the garage must have been built to fit an Austin 7 and my car won't fit in it

The irony is that if everyone in the street had nice cars, it would be courteous to be able to park them in the driveway so that one’s neighbours could enjoy admiring them, only taking them inside for care and attention during adverse weather conditions.

I suppose it’s a poor man’s dream, requiring a gated community or a little haven village somewhere inhabited only by civilised people — a rarity these days… but even so, rather parochial compared to the rather exquisite Porsche designer buildings, where there is a separate elevator for your motor, which then sits behind a glass wall of the dining room to enjoy as your serve (or your butler serves) Mai Thais and Martinis to guests.

Somehow I think I prefer the little village solution…

Now who in their right mind would not want to be seen in a WiLL V1, the epitome of style and technological progess. Actually, a very rare car, only about 16 in the UK.

I spotted this rare piece in a car park in Hartlepool some time ago. Apologies if one of you lot is the owner. Otherwise for anyone recognising it, the owner is not, to the best of my knowledge, a member of this site.

Hartlepool, well perhaps you mis recognised it as being a car, after all they mistook a Monkey for being a Frenchman   :hi:

Looks like abandoned junk. Even the French don’t make ‘cars’ that ugly (much as they try!)

When I bought the Mustang it was from a Guy in Wandsworth, where there are a couple of classic dealers with nice stuff on show, but absolutely nothing like the secured underground car parks of the apartments behind Mcdonalds, where the Mustang was kept, a large part of it is for general residents, another large part of it is behind  electric shutters, it is like your own private car show, millions of quids worth of rare classics and modern super cars.

Some in bubbles, most with trickle chargers, the expensive computer type, but hundreds of them, never seen such variety and so many rare cars in one place.

Hidden away sadly, the times we live in I guess.

Junk possibly, but not abandoned. I was intrigued by this car, which was why I took some pics then did some research.
In the 1990s some otherwise unrelated Japanese companies got together and decided to make a range of products to appeal to a younger age group. The brand name they chose for these products was WiLL.
Panasonic produced a WiLL computer, a brewery produced WiLL lager, and Toyota produced this car, the WiLL V1. The products went down like the proverbial lead balloon, and production of the car stopped in less than two years, hence the rarity of it, and now it's basically a collectors item.

My first thought was it must be French as only the French could come up with a car as ugly as that  or it's Chinese as they steal ideas from everybody to come up with a mish mash of a car. :unknown:

Nope, it's a Toyota, but not one they are happy to put their hands up to.
