So my quick search has a thread from 2015-6.  Maybe worth a refresher in 2021 if there's new tach out there?

I prefer to shave below a day or two before a punt.  Use a vintage gillete tech double edge razor as they're the least aggressive with shower gel or soap.  Sometimes I get perfect results and other times a few nicks.  Occasionally looks like freddie kruger went ape-shit and perhaps a WG will see and think its STD
*I go with the hairs and then against the hairs on 2nd pass.

A good warm bath helps lift the hair.  What are you guys using?   Pound shop disposables, veet, anything else with great results?

Want to avoid those IR zappers or go with a big bush

Gillette MACH 3 Turbo - the best of the best and unbeatable IMO
Gillette sensitive shaving gel, not foam - (Series or Fusion - prefer Series.. less tingly on the sack)
and the most important thing of all... lots of extra care.

Tried a Phillips OneBlade a while back, worked well the first time but several nics the 2nd and 3rd time.  Didn’t bother with it after that, went back to the Mach3-T.

I use Gillette Venus ComfortGlide with Olay 2-in-1 Razor for Women
I just get the balls all warm in the shower and if there is not much growth there is no need for gel etc, the blades have an inbuilt lotion strip that lets the blade glide over yer nads.
If it does a great job on ladies flaps it’s good enough for me and it gets the chaps nice and smooth with no nicks at all and just right for a tonguing from the lady
The blades are a few quid but last well and don’t blunt quickly.

After all, my nickname is Razor Boy  ;)

Shaved for years with varying degrees of success (sometimes red spotty which can take a week or so to settle) using Gilette Fusion.

Only recently worked out that if I always shave downwards and never upwards its a much better job with no red spots at all. Warm bath beforehand or during also helps.

Got a wax booked next week for a treat ;-)

You sure they put 5 blades near their flaps?  :)  Looks like £10 for starter set.

Any SP's here can validate?

it's that red spotty stuff I want to avoid.   the sack never gets nicked, only the flat skin below belly.

Yeh red spots but not because it gets nicked I dont think, just where the hair grows from.

But if purely downward motion and never upwards its clean as a whistle

I use electric clippers to keep it trim and the SPs I visit like it that way. #2 guard on the pubes, taint and ass and a #1 on the chest hairs.
I know. Probably TMI.

Do you know, I never really gave it much thought.
This shaving down below lark.

But a number of years back when I was doing more of the sub/dom play. I mistress told me she wanted to put me in chastity. She advised it would work best if I trimmed (at least) down there.
It did. !!!!!

Just sort of got into the habit from then on in and pleasantly surprised when SP's occasionally commented that they preferred the look.
I suppose they get sick of picking hairs out of their teeth

Only ever just trim. Use a Philips one blade with the body attachment!

I do it whilst talking a hot shower.

Wilkinsons Sword Sensitive 3 works best for me, Trimmed first with clippers and scissors. A high quality shave balm then sit the razor. I find that I receive a better service like you if I shave my balls a couple days before a punt.

I have got them professionally waxed once and it's a painful experience I dare not repeat

Another vote for the Philips one blade. Not had any nicks after switching to this shaver.

After becoming bored with shaving my junk, I decided to give hair removal cream a go.   Veet was an absolute non-starter for me due to some painfully (but very funny reviews), so I decided to give Woo Woo External Link/Members Only) a go.

Worked brilliantly the first few times I used it, until yesterday when I left it on for too long (around 6-7 mins).  It was only later in the evening that my balls felt like they were on fire, although this subsided after applying some much needed moisturizer  :sarcastic:

Will definitely continue to use Woo Woo, just need to ensure that I get my timings right!!

Philips One Blade Body version every time. Its easily the best I have used.

Offline filthyscotslover

I actually use an electric shaver to do the part above my cock and then use a Mach 3 on my actual sack. Any time iv tried shaving the bit above my cock with a razor blade, it has been a fucking nightmare. Red spots and very itchy. Looks horrible too. Fuck that. Get a decent electric one that takes batteries and do the top bit. What a difference it has made for me

Waxing.
Back, sac and crack.

Started in '14 at a place in Shoreditch. When I'd finished that project and wasn't in Shoreditch any more, I called a local beauty salon and now they do it - they do lots of young fellas but apparently I'm their oldest by a fair bit.
Costs me £80 every couple of months.

First time I went, Mrs Fugly knew as we were off on a beach holiday. The waxer persuaded me to go for full manscaping and the Mrs liked it. Never looked back since.  I don't get any awkward questions about my hairless crack and balls either, 'cos she's used to it.

The more you do it, the less hair grows back.  Yes it costs a bit, but I don't go often and I don't get all itchy post shave (which is a killer if you want to get properly rimmed and you have to shave your rucker).

$64,000 question - does it hurt?
A bit. It makes the eyes water first time out, but I scarcely notice these days and I think the girls appreciate it.

Wilkinson sword double edge, do it about twice a month. (Clean shave)
I used all sorts of other blades/shavers at first but found them rubbish and constantly clogging (especially multi blades).
Use plenty of foam as double edge blades aren't for the rookie shaver. I'd advise getting use to it on your face before trying your sack.
Actually don't try this, you could cut your sack off.

Well worth the two and a half year wait since your last post. How many punts have you had in that time?

Picked up a Venus Pubic hair and skin set from b00t5 for £6.67 and very impressed (they're £10 on shelf but charge £6.67 at check out).  No cuts and so far no razor burns.  Using Nivea shaving gel for some glide and moisture.
The venus blades are compatible with the handles, so may give the 5 blades a try in the future.   Can also use mach-3 blades on the older, not sure about mach-3 turbos

Anyone used the "manscaped" products? They sometimes have ads on the TV.

Veet. The big bottle. Slap some on. Wait 10-15 mins. Jump in shower with the scraper.

Even comes in blue now... it's the exact same thing as the pink bottle. For blokes who are embarrassed to buy any pink products I guess.

regarding compatibility of the heads with mach3, i'm not too sure now.   gillette support seems to think its compatible but after looking at the handles for a mach3-pro versus the venus handle on my pubic shaver, it looks so different.   My venus handle looks more like fusion-5.

i've bought some spare heads from fleabay. 8 for £15.

Anyone else get issues with ingrown hairs when shaving close?

Personally I now use a clipper with a #1 comb attached.

Oh and if / when I use a wet razor, then I always use King of Shaves gel.

Yes, can highly recommend it, well worth the investment.  You will probably need about 5 sessions, each one a month apart (this is due to the hair growth cycle), after each session skin is so smooth, you dont get stubble and dont get in growing hairs ever.

an update on what's working well, and with xmas round the corner there's some 'gift sets' on the highstreet worth checking.

Venus Pubic hair and skin:  Two blade system works very well and no cuts at all.  You will shave more often since the shave is not very close. No in-grows or razor burn.  You can easily shave the crack without risk of cutting yourself.
Venus 3 blade:  Very close shave.  I found red pimples due to in-grows.  The more blades the closer the shave, trade off with razor burn, in-grows.  take extra extra care around the nutz.

Compatibility wise:
Gillette skinguard sensitive = Venus Pubic
All other Venus razors work with Gillette Mach 3/3Turbo.

Winner for me:  Gillette Mens Skinguard Sensitive or Venus Pubic hair and Skin.  They're the exact product marketed to different sex.
Boots had skinguard handle+4 blades for £9 a few weeks back, now £12.

For the last couple of years I’ve been getting a full body wax, mainly because I’m a hairy bastard & got fed up shaving all the time, plus I’ve been working hard in & out of the gym to get ripped & a full on hairy chest & back doesn’t seem to me to be aesthetically pleasing.

Waxing does hurt but after a while it’s not a bother.  A finger of hot wax in your bum crack is actually a very nice sensation!  My only issue with waxing now is the ‘bumps’ that appear after a week or two & no matter what cleaning routine or product I use I still get them & in the most fleshy areas (mainly lower belly) I do have some very minor scarring which doesn’t look great tbh.  The worst I’ve had ‘downstairs’ is when one lady left the hot wax on for too long & in the evening my balls were on fire  :diablo:  Within a couple a days my balls went all crispy & eventually all the skin peeled off  :vomit:

Anyone have any suggestions on how to stop the bumps?

Clippers for body hair, trusty old Mach 3 razor in the shower for cock and balls. I don't pay a particular lot of attention and have never cut myself in about a decade of doing this.

The only thing I'm missing is a reliable method of trimming the arse crack, and to a lesser degree lower back? I tried getting them waxed some months ago, initially I was pornstar smooth, but then came out in such bad ingrown hairs that I still have some residual bumps/marks months later. Are there any delapilatory creams that can be used on the arsehole? Or is laser the only option?

I guess the ‘neatly trimmed’ look is off your profile for ever then…

Seriously, out of interest, what did the five sessions come to, and if it was a while back, what would they cost how?
