Long story short when i entered the flat the maid let me in the front door of thr flat with a face mask on. She was on the phone apparently to ayesha (Understandable because of covid). She guided me towards the lift and when i got in she stayed outside the lift and said £170 please for the hour. I said i will pay when i see ayesha. She said NO pay me now and you can go up the lift to see ayesha. I told her NO WAY and i headed out the lift towards thr front door. She started to be abusive to me and also was telling the situation to the person on the phone. I exited the building went straight to my car and got out of there.

Did i do the right thing? Where they trying to scam me? What do you guys think?
I just thought i will post it to warn others.

Definitely right thing. Most likely you would of gone tothe room the maid told you to go to and find the flat empty, doesn't exist, or the wrong flat with a stranger opening the door and you having a difficult convo as to why you was there.
