Private messages on this forum

About four years ago I exchanged some private messages with a fellow punter (who is no longer active here). They contained some useful info that I wanted to dig up again.

However, I see in my inbox that my PM's only go back to about 2019. There is no trace of any messages that I either received or sent prior to that.
Was there some sort of the clear-out of members PM's? Or is there any way I could still see my old PMs?

I believe at some point "Old Admin" had PM's set so they auto deleted after 12 months due to issues with server space

The best way in my experience so far (which goes back quite a long way) is to maintain useful information by means of the bookmarks feature.

Useful information is generally something that should be shared so it is public at some point. The exception is if it would put someone in danger. A message should be a message and no more simply as UKP isn’t geared to private relationships.

The other way, as another experienced member mentioned recently, is to keep track of one’s own who’s who of shags by means of one’s reviews. Apart from the common decency of giving something back, it’s a good way of working out which p4p when the numbers and fake names merge into an overall similarity.
