Author Topic: Destinations for a 9 day trip (ideally Europe)  (Read 3168 times)

Hi all,

So I’ve got 9 days off at the end of September and am looking for some destinations for a fun trip. Looking to do some punting  (a couple of girls a day, maybe more) and some sightseeing. Any recommendations on where in Europe would be good to go atm? I also use sa so anywhere with decently cheap girls on there would also work. Tbh I was hoping to do Colombia but with the red list status it isn’t worth it.

Appreciate any info you guys can share!

in 9 days you could visit several places or cities...
green list theres germany and austria, theres cool castles too see there (never been :( )

amber list, spain. ive only been in andulsia area but its beautiful and many lovely buildings :) girls are abit cheaper than uk prices (or where) and decent quanitity advertising. some places have brothels or bars (never visited those myself :( )

Yeah I’ve been to Duisburg in Germany once and sharks also once which was fun, wouldn’t mind another visit to other good rld/fkk locations. Also enjoyed a trip to The Hague in NL.

Was thinking of Athens/Rome, the Athens thread makes it sound a pretty fun place to punt, not sure about rome though?

Personally I think Rome is a bit of a dump and not exactly a joy getting around. Athens is a jaw-dropping city with punting and sightseeing/culture within walking distance of each other.

If you are travelling from the UK, your options are limited.
Even if you are fully vaccinated, you’ll have to spend at least 5 of your 9 days in quarantine.
Especially Germany & The Netherlands.

Don't know what the situation is like in Spain at the moment, but if it's ok, then i would recommend Malaga. I had a great time a couple of years ago, with the aid of Slumi, escort website.

I saw the Athens post and i’m thinking of going there in the next few weeks. Flights seem cheap and doesn’t look like you need to even do a PCR test going there if your double vaccinated.

Will keep you updated if i go.

Malaga itself is well worth a visit both for the sights and the punting as Alabama has said. If you hire a car, Granada is less than a three hour drive away as is Cordoba which are both worth seeing, or you could get to either by train. Sevilla is a must but it's better to go there by fast train as driving in and around it is a nightmare, and if you stay there it's a quick trip down to Cadiz by train which is one of my favourite places. The other alternative would be to fly to Madrid and use it as a base to visit Toledo, Segovia, Salamanca and Avila to name but a few. Slumi works for all these cities so you should be able to find plenty of WGs.

Should’ve added I’m fully vaccinated (with the 21 day time period after) - is quarantine still necessary in that case?

Cheers will take a look at the threads, maybe a dual Spain/Athens trip could be a good shout in that case…

it might be easier to fly from spain to athens (or vice versa) if you want to hit both rather than flying back to the uk....

or perhaps the prudent thing todo would be to roughly plan 2 trips, one for spain, one for greece, because the situation can change quickly. but i traveled around andulsia by train and bus/coach just fine.... you do get asked for your passport when you travel between cities, but not on local buses.

Not for Germany. You just need to fill in an Einreiseanmeldung online a couple of days before you arrive, and then upload your 'proof of vaccination' to a link they provide you. I used a screenshot of my EU Covid certificate with my name, DOB and the QR code visible, and it was enough. As long as you do this before travelling, you can skip the quarantine completely. The rules get updated every week, so obviously things could change in the meantime. Case rates are on the increase in Germany and many states are tightening hygiene rules again, but I can't see them locking down again.

Quarantine at home may be ended early if proof of recovery, proof of vaccination or a negative test result is submitted via the Federal Republic of Germany entry portal External Link/Members Only. Quarantine can be ended in each case from the time the negative test result is submitted. If you spent time in a high-risk area prior to entry, the relevant test may not be conducted earlier than five days after entry (test to release possible from day five following entry). Vaccinated and recovered persons can end the quarantine from the time when the proof of vaccination or recovery is transmitted via the entry portal. If the transmission takes place before entry (strongly recommended), no quarantine is needed.

UK is considered a high risk area, has been since July
Even if vaccinated, you need to quarantine if entering from a high risk area.
You can test on day 5 and end end the quarantine, if you are negative.
I expect it’s poorly policed, however, violating the rules could see you fined up to €25’000.

Bear in mind you need time to get orientated in either or both countries especially if you do not happen to speak much Spanish or Greek.

I don’t speak much of either so will keep this in mind haha, although I’ve done solo travelling in Asia where I also didn’t speak the language and lived in France for a year with minimal french so am pretty well versed in terrible sign language to get by

I have rather less experience of Spain but have found a good map and language apps help enormously. At least they use same alphabet, which of course Greeks do not.

Athens on the other hand is very easy to get around once you get used to it, and an easier, relaxed culture than most parts of Spain that I’ve been to.

I would maybe suggest at least becoming familiar with the Greek alphabet, at least the letters that have funny shapes, and common substitutions such as using B where we would use V (as in Biktoria instead of Victoria). You want to be able to decipher a Subway (Metro) sign yourself, especially if you arrive from the airport at Syntagma in the rush hour. Athenians are mostly polite, friendly and honest; but there are a considerable number of immigrants inly too happy to relieve you of your possessions. I use an iPhone openly in some areas but not in others, such as Omonia (a busy interchange) or on a crowded Metro (station or train). Most of the basics are on the UKP Wiki.

As I and another poster already pointed out, the quarantine requirement can be bypassed if you register 2-days in advance using the online portal and upload proof of vaccination. I did this two weeks ago before returning to Germany after visiting family in the UK. Here is the actual email I got in response from the local health authority:

Quote
Dear Sir or Madam,
We received your proof of vaccination. Therefore, you fulfilled your obligation according to the Coronavirus-Einreiseverordnung des Bundes from the 30th of July 2021.
After checking the document available to us, we can inform you that you are exempt from quarantine in accordance with § 4 (2) sentence 2 CoronaEinreiseV.

If you should develop any symptoms of a COVID-19 infection fulfilling the criteria of the Robert Koch Institute (e.g. loss of smell or taste, fever, cough, sore throat, trouble breathing, head- or joint pain, general weakness) within 14 days after your arrival, please contact a doctor and inform him or her about your country of departure and symptoms. Please make an appointment on the phone before visiting any doctors. Furthermore please immediately contact the Health Care Office of Dresden via email: [email protected] and send the “Diary for self-observation” attached to this mail which you can use to monitor your symptoms.

Sincerely/
Mit freundlichen Grüßen

Ok that’s actually great to know, thanks for confirming. Looks like Germany/Athens could be on the cards instead then 😁

It's not known as a cheap place but I was thinking in terms of somewhere where you don't have to quarantine
Switzerland is on the UK geen list and unless things have changed I don't think you need to quarantine on arrival there if you are vaccinated.
Returning to the UK will require a PCR test which you can do at the airport there and you can also arrange your day 2 test at the airport in the UK.

Presuming you went to Zurich, you can get get independants through and6.com. If you only speak English that will not be a problem for you as most people speak English there including the whores.
You will be paying 300CHF per hour
Geneva and other cities also offering a reasonable selection of whores but I'm not as familar with them.
There are plenty of clubs around as well.

Like I said, it is not a cheap place to go but it might meet your requirements.

Lot's of good info by everyone.  Just to add I was in Switzerland this week and I was surprised to find Covid tests are free so not only can you get tested every couple of days and save a little on the test before coming back you can be confident that the SP's are testing themselves more than in other countries too.  A small consideration.  Of course everything else is very very expensive.

But at least Geneva is a reasonably tasteful place to stay.
