I mean there's some fucking Bellends around but this guy takes the prize, I guess you could call him the bellends bellend

I thought he had been sacked by Fleetwood for the tunnel bust up with the Barnsley Manager but apparently he was sacked for a disagreement with a player before that went to trial (now November) , found this article while looking which lists his rap sheet

However I was only actually looking after seeing this about him assaulting a woman in June

This prick is just a loose cannon and seemingly dangerous to anyone around him, the sort of bloke you dread any female member of your family ever getting into a relationship with.
I actually think he could well end up killing someone one day

Is the bell ends bell end worthy of discussion?
Banned reason: Undesirable, previously banned, still attacking members, discussing UKP with SP, toxic personality, it’s a no from me!,

I remember being horrified by the cigar incident when it happened.

IMO he's not so much a prick / bell end as unhinged - I certainly would not want to be around him.

A truly nasty piece of work.Didn't he try to use a Man City trainee's eye as an ashtray once?

Yeah that's the "Cigar" incident referred to above.

I know you can't be blamed for what any of your family do however his brother was also a right scumbag and in jail for a racist murder, realistically it's not a stretch of the imagination to see they are cut from the same cloth

It may be the incident above but I thought Joey was also implicated in a killing or rather he'd been out drinking with a relation who assaulted or killed someone  :unknown:

The cigar thing was in 2004, he's had loads more since then including jail time. Funnily enough the player who had the cigar stubbed out on him got an 18 month suspended sentence around 2016 for assaulting his girlfriend.

Oh dear, I guess we then get into the realms of they're as bad as each other, let them get on with it.

In olden times they'd have been shipped off to Australia, put all the idiots in one place, out of our sight.

Funnily enough there's enough genetic modification over time that they all come out in the wash a few generations later. Trouble is, we don't have an empire to be able to do that any more  :D.

That's what I find quite extraordinary: that a succession of decision makers, presumably with their clubs' best interests at heart, think it's a good idea to hire such a toxic individual. What kind of message does that send to the families and youth that support those clubs?

He reinvented himself as a thinking man, a philosopher and academic towards the end of his playing career..... started reading books, listening to The Smiths and doing a psychology degree. Moved to a leafy posh area of SW London named his son Cassius (not pretentious at all that) and most importantly of all he started wearing thick rimmed spectacles. This concerted attempt at gentrification fooled many, including himself, but although you can take the boy out of Huyton you cannot take Huyton out of the boy of course.

He wrote an autobiography  too...

The stupid thing about Joey Barton is that he is NOT stupid.
He’s actually quite articulate and a lot more interesting to listen to than a lot of the do called pundits on tv now.
He was not a bad footballer either.

But he obviously has attitude problems and is remembered for that. He will end up a loser simply because of his mental state.

Well this clip from his appearance on Question time would question how articulate he actually is
