Has anyone been too scared to break their girlfriend's heart? For example you both live together but your heart is not in it but she loves you dearly and deeply. So you have decided to pack your bags and leave without telling her?

Sounds like a shitty thing to do. You should at least tell her.

I just need the advice. Obviously there are other platforms to discuss it. Just wanted to ask the question for clarity.

Maybe you and Rick248 or whatever he is called need to start your own forum of stupid threads? Can think of a few others you can take with you

Also probably a load of bollocks and not just because of the shite you write.

You’ve titled the thread the “girlfriend who you used to live with” yet ask the question as if you do live with her  :dash:

My guess is a twat like you had probably never had a girlfriend  :hi:

Offline Chorley

Yep. Sounds totally reasonable?

OMG.........The OP brought it all back.

There was me in exactly that situation.
Shacked up with this Lithuanian girl in her mid twenties. You know the sort. Tall and slim, long luxurious blonde hair, model looks. Full pouting lips etc.
She was a great cook as well as being the best fuck imagineable. Another plus was that she had learnt how to brew her own beer and did'nt mind if I slept with any of her other girlfriends if they came over.....cos she loved me.

Anyway. Long story short..
I climbed out of the bedroom window one night when she was asleep. I just did'nt fancy her anymore you see.
Left without saying goodbye, oh and there was the unpaid rent I left her with too.
Not forgetting I took her jewelry. I took everything of mine except for my Lacoste polo shirt.....it was in the wash.

Last I heard she had jumped in front of a SW train to Waterloo.....the note said something about a broken heart.

So in answer to the OP.
Go for it.
Just remember to take everything though. I really miss that T shirt.

If it helps Lacoste are doing 20% off shirts

There will be consequences whatever but just walking out might bring some large ones, are you ready to handle them?

I seperated fom my wife, sat down, told her, faced the trauma, packed my stuff and drove off in the works van.

I found out later that she would spend the nights diving round the remote areas looking for the van thinking that I was living in it.

Make sure that she is as much as you can or the split might come back and haunt you.

You should watch the Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin.
A classic sitcom from 1976 starring Leonard Rossiter

“Despite his warm relationship with his wife Elizabeth, he suffers from impotence. As pressures at work build, relations with his dysfunctional relatives deteriorate. His brother-in-law Jimmy and son-in-law Tom are both presented as incompetent. Tom's "political correctness" emphasises his pomposity. After Reggie commits a few reckless acts, including getting out of his car in the lion enclosure at a safari park, he fakes suicide by leaving clothes and personal effects on a beach.”

You could even open up a “grot shop”.

But you couldn't find your bags because she had already fucked off with them.

Another " strange " thread but confession time, yep I did it, left the country for a while, and it is an awful thing to do, if for no other reason than the stress caused not coming home and no explanation, it was all explained to me by her, when she found me about 6 weeks later.

Just divorced, still young and immature, living in Essex, working in Central London, it was a relationship of convenience for me, she had a flat in London, when she started wedding chat, well, just got out of that and coming to terms with being a weekend dad, I had it on my toes.

Learned since you can have break ups and remain friends if you are honest and talk about it. So no, it is not recommended, at least mobiles might take the stress out of thinking you have a missing person, but still, as many have said, a shitty thing to do.
Banned reason: Undesirable, previously banned, still attacking members, discussing UKP with SP, toxic personality, it’s a no from me!,

Yeah that was a rookie mistake - next time make sure she's done all the laundry first.

Let her down easy, release the air valve slowly.

If she isn't shagging you, she isn't that into you.

I’m surprised she hasn’t worked it out for herself and called it quits.

'Intimacy' by Hanif Kureishi, he does exactly that, a midnight flit and even leaves two kids behind.

I think that was more achievable back then than now though.

There's an even better book about the same subject Rabbit Run.

Man up and leave her or stay an adult infant for the rest of your life. It's unfair to drag a relationship out.
