I've been cleaning up my hotlist on AW and I'm down to 15 prossies. Last year I had 50 at one point. I have taken a break from punting, my last punt was 5 weeks ago.  I've been going to the gym and getting shit done in my personal life (career, finances, etc)

It's always good to take a break from this hobby and to have a fresh outlook. I've been thinking of having 2 punts a month, prossies with great reputation or ones who have given me a good service in the past and maybe one shot in the dark with a newbie once a month for 30mins. My success rate will be a lot higher and hopefully the punts will get better and better.

I have noticed many of the prolific punters on here like Cisco, Hendrix, Password have a similar method. Punt less often, but see better quality prossies for longer/stick to what you know works. The excitement has gone trying to find the next VFM gem on AW, and I've been clearing out the deadwood and limiting my options with quality prossies.

It sounds like you've come up with a good solid plan, jimbobwood. I hope it works well for you.

I've been very keen to chance my hand with a few of those outsiders in the hope of uncovering a gem. However I've, as a result, encountered an awful lot of mediocre to poor service. I now see the futility and need to rethink my approach.

The girls with great rep and a higher hourly rate start to seem like better value for money, after all.

I've probably got 50+ girls in my hotlist and if I'm stuck for someone to see I'll usually find great reasons to avoid most of them, I'd guess 5-10 of those will ever get a visit.

As for VFM - I changed my approach quite a bit after I got here. I had been punting with girls who did an hour for £60-80 mark and for the most part was disappointed. I switched to 30 minutes but with nicer/better girls - same budget just improved quality. At the moment most my punts are at a local parlour that is mostly good so there seems to be less risk like that. Actually this year 3/21 punts have been independents but right now it's working for me.

Sure there are total bargain girls out there, but I think you waste so much trying to find them it works out more expensive overall.

To be fair he had 2 negative and 1 neutral from 8 reviews, an I'd assume he didn't see them off the back of other negative reviews so he's doing his bit IMO. I find I often waver between wanting a guarantee and tasking a risk depending on experiences in the last 2-3 punts.

True. I guess we all need to step up to the plate and do our fair share of high risk punting.

My high risk punting scorecard: I've done 4 punts with 0 feedback (aw feedback) girls and not encouraged to do so by anyone here either. And out of that have 1 positive report, 1 neutral and 2 negative. However bear in mind that the 1 positive report resulted from what was only my 2nd punt and, knowing what I know now, would have graded it as neutral.

My medium risk punting scorecard: Additionally I've seen another 4 girls without reviews on ukp who, at the time of my booking, had multiple positive aw feedbacks. I had success with all of those. Some I'd even return to see.

FYI - I've posted reviews on all of the above 8 girls.

My low risk punting scorecard: Separately I've had punts with maybe another 4 girls, all of who have already been positively reviewed here and have extensive good aw feedback. Those have all been what I consider to be my best punts to date.

So with the above in mind you can, perhaps, appreciate why I've lost most of my enthusiasm for the high risk punting

As I said previously Steve I take my hat off to those with time and inclination to seek out the 60/80 per hour incall appointments across London.

However we these too me its a bit like playing the casino. There is no form to go on and its random whether you hit your number straight up. Personally I prefer to do my study like when it comes to Horses. Look at the form and look at the pedigree and then take my chances be it on the 25/1 outsider or the odds on fav

Though when it comes to horses any gambler will tell you betting heavily on the odds on favs is the quickest way to poor house.

I have tonnes in mine. In fact I have at least 10 different hotlists, organised according to price, hair colour, tit size, whether they swallow, etc, etc.  I bet I've got a hundred in there.  And what's the fucking point really?  How many of them will I ever meet?

No you don't.  Just do what you feel comfortable with.  Give back by contributing with reviews and commenting on the reviews of others.  Seeking out new talent is always appreciated so do that if you want and you will be rewarded as others might share information with you privately, but I don't think anybody should feel obliged to do it.  Some get a kick out of the risk factor (myself included).  Let me tell you that after a few shitty experiences in a row it can really start to fuck your head up and there's no point making yourself unhappy just for the benefit of others on the forum.

Yes I do enjoy taking a risk in the hope that I'll chance upon a hidden gem. But I do need to seriously rethink my selection process if I'm going to improve my track record. The test posted by Steve further up this thread was, imo, a really useful exercise in scrutinising profiles in order to separate the good from the bad or fake profiles.

I'll probably reach a compromise and embark upon a smaller proportion of high risk punts which are more carefully vetted in the hope that my scorecard starts to look more like yours.

You know how when you do a search on Adultwork you can tick boxes for preferences both postive and negative.? .. now if someone could figure a way to 'untick' "first language:" "Romanian" ... that would speed up searches for me. Additionally, the phone app(s) don't even display nationality. So when Romanians (who are required by AW rules to declare their nationality) come up in searches, I have to delete them manually from a computer.

Nothing against Romania or Romanians. Just bad-service-minded Romanian prostitutes* over here. 

*Yeah yeah to all the "Romanians have a right to rip you off too" crew: it is just statistics unfortunately. If you want to wade through 100 Romanian prostitutes to find one that gives half-decent servcice, or settle for poor service and say it was great, be my guest. I just prefer to improve my odds.

When scrutinishing indies (and there are probably threads) one thing I've noticed is PG. and templates are giveaways to an extent. Round here there are loads of profiles with 1-3 main pictures, usually no gallery but a cheapish (£1/day) PG.

The 3rd girl down - textbook as I say. No gallery but she has a private gallery with quite a lot of pictures in - yet she doesn't want to offer many for free to get business huh! Her profile is nicely laid out, well writtten - too good for a profile written yesterday? Yes cos whoever wrote it bashes out dozens a day.

For me the biggest thing that proves a profile is real is number of free pictures in different settings. You don't need a lot, maybe just 10 pictures, but in 3-4 different places. The girl in my avatar was a good example - she had her model pics done and they looked great and shouted fake. She also had pics like this:
