Nearly 1/2 price on Amazon prime today. £26  :)

For you experts in tech. Are there any good 3rd party apps for FREE Sports Channels?

Offline Gordon Bennett

I presume you mean illegal pirated feeds when you say free?

My understanding is that many people use the Kodi app. This is a sort of general media player app that uses things called "add ons" to access repositories that host the sort of thing you're looking for.

Kodi is widely available and installable directly on many devices, for example you can add the Kodi app to many Smart TV - you don't necessarily need a Fire Stick.

Some gadgets make it a bit farty to add Kodi (or any general apps) onto them. For these sort of gadgets (which may include Fire Sticks) the process of adding these additional apps is often called something like Side Loading or Jail Breaking. These are terms to make the fairly simple process of adding apps sound sexy and illicit.

You have two options going forward: Google "adding Kodi to Firestick" and "best Kodi Sports add-ons" and sort yourself out OR, ask a 12 year old son/nephew to sort it all out for you.... it'll take them 5 mins tops.

I think there are other threads about it if you search "Kodi" on here.

Just don't rely on it for any major events such as big Premier League games or PPV boxing. Buffers like fuck then in my experience!

I would never rely on it for Fury vs AJ for example (which is never happening anyway lol)

Kodi is superb for movies and some TV shows but is shit for live TV. It buffers like mad and when you're really into your sport the last think you want is the picture freezing when something exciting is happening in the sport.

IPTV......not had much luck with that either. I subscribed to a very popular service about 18 months ago. TV shows and movies were excellent and had plenty of choice. Live sports still would buffer, not as bad as Kodi but enough to piss me off. The guy who was behind the IPTV service was eventually raised by the police and the service went down.

Afraid no real solutions to your problem

Kodi is good as the add-on. I feel the best way of using Kodi is to research which foreign channels are showing the sport and watch their feeds - the world and his uncle will search for Sky Sports Premier League and the weight of numbers will cause buffering. However, seek out say the Mexican broadcaster's  output and its glorious smooth HD and mental excitable commentary, yknow..... GOOOOOOOOOAAAAALLL GARYGARYGARYGARY GOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAALLLLLL LALALA!!

Yes, I have tried that. Lost count how many times I have watched the Premier League with the commentary in Hebrew or Turkish! Still buffers enough times to be a problem

I have a Kodi box and used to use it a lot five years ago. For film and TV shows it was great. Never found success with sport on it so stopped trying. I remember watching the build up to a match and it was great quality but as soon as the match began it became unwatchable as lots of people started to access the feeds.

I remember I had to change apps every six months or so. There would be an app that let you access everything then it either got blocked or the developer stopped running it so you would have to go online to search for what the current decent app was.

I don't watch live sport often but when I do I manage to find a stream.

Agree I'd still pay for the big fights but my supplier has been spot on with all events for the past couple of years now. But used to buffer every time there was a big fight so I still pay for them for the guarantee

Yes that's right. You need to install new repositories (repos) every now and again to access the best content. Still works pretty well for movies.

Iptv at £50 is a rip off!
lol

£40 here all day long ;)

Mentioned it on another thread but Cumination on Kodi.... biggest porn repository I've found.

Loads of Indian and Jap (uncensored) porn. All the big studios stuff too. Hoping it doesn't die anytime soon!

There’s a free stream I use for ppv/premier league which buffers very rarely - even tho my IPTV guys stream is usually bang on. Quality is also very good. If ppl want that link let me know - not sure if I could post it here

TBF that £50.00 is for the year, even if you paid £40.00 and watched it all day long that's still only 24 hours................ I will get my coat

It's not a bad price if the service lasts a year.

Like I said, I subscribed to a very popular IPTV service based in the North West and the guy got raided. Plus the service was still pretty shit for live sports

Offline Jsmith

My guy charges £45 a year which includes the PPV events - good streams and a decent VOD on there too. Rarely goes down. I can pass the details if anyone wants
