Thought the Torquay v Hartlepool match was very good.
I have watched all the National League play offs, and they have all been contested by 22 men instead of 22 spoilt boys that contest the Premier League.
When they get knocked to the ground they are usually up very quickly and getting back into position.
One Torquay player did get injured and refused to go off so he had his leg stitched on the field.
Proper footballers.

Yes, quite dramatic too with Torquay's goalkeeper equalising with a header in injury time to make it 1-1 and take it into extra time. No further goals, he then went on to save 2 penalties in the penalty shoot-out and still ended up on the losing side. Torquay also had 2 goals disallowed in normal time. Only down side was charging a whopping £41 for a ticket (played at Bristol City).
Here's the goalkeeper's header:

Yes. I'm quite puzzled why the EFL and pyramid don't tell the Premier League to fuck off and go their own way. Tell them their money is no longer wanted and they are stuck forever with Burnley as there is no longer any promotion/relegation to/from the prem.

Of the £400million the prem say they kick down to EFL about £250 mil is parachute money. Parachute money is not altruistic, its a safety net for prem teams and is absolutely ruining the Championship.

Anyway, I reckon the EFL could easily negotiate their own £150mil TV deal and be no worse off for ditching the scum prem. This would also be very agreeable to the big 6 prem teams who want more money and they would resurrect their bid to fuck off and form their own super league.

The EFL needs to grow a set of balls and stop being dependent on dirty hush money from the prem.

You may think that but its not the case. (I really wish it were) The deal for the EFL wouldn't be worth half its value without the League Cup (whatever its called nowadays) because of the premier league clubs involvement.  The debt that is owed to Man City by EFL clubs for taking the competition seriously is significant.

The Premier League is a truly global brand and the cash that comes from overseas cannot be underestimated, the EFL is bigger than so many domestic leagues around the world but comes behind those local leagues and La Liga, Serie A, Ligue Un in terms of marketability in every single one of those markets and is worth the same accordingly.

You are evaluating an EFL run by idiots and chumps. A dynamic forward thinking person/board could very easily raise £500m.... the Beeb pay £60 fucking million for two weeks of tennis! I refuse to accept EFL can't raise £150 million on their own and be no worse off than they are now.
