Fathers Day tomorrow. Yes I know, very, very, very commercial  :(
But, let's hope we get what we really, really, really want  :)

To quote an old joke:

"I'm not saying it's rough where I live but Aldi are selling Fathers Day cards in packs of 5."

How many of you "daddies" expect genuinely sincere messages of love and understanding from your fully aware kids and OHs?

You mean if they're fully aware of their daddy's punting habits?

Perhaps somebody should bring out "punting tokens" beats the hell out of book tokens or gift tokens. To be redeemed at your favourite massage parlour or service provider  :D

Good idea
What seems inappropriate today.
May be the norm, in the future  :)

In some places, Father’s Day must be the most confusing day of the year for some poor kids!!

I have two boys and between them they have given me 5 grandchildren

I get 2 separate cards which is nice but I would much prefer to see them

I'm all in favour of 'daddy issues'...

We have "days" for just about everything in this era.

I look forward to when they create a "Punters Day".
Maybe we all get a free CIM thrown in with a regular booking.

I've been treated like an Emperor all day - I think it's very good. Breakfast in bed, lie in, excused all domestic duties, been able to watch grand prix and footy on the main telly with no moaning and then scoffed a steak meal washed down with a lot of champers. It's all very agreeable irrespective of whether it's a load of commercial nonsense. I look forward to it again next year.
I suppose I should experience pangs of guilt at the contradiction of being treated like a god for a day whilst simultaneously being a seedy sneaky git who occasionally skulks off to see an escort. Doesn't phase me at all though - I can compartmentalise things and wear both hats you see....Dad of the year AND punter.
