Other common scam profile hallmarks:

- no phone number
- prefers/asks for contact via email
- 'Verification Pending' strapline
- anonymous pics

Your example unsurprisngly also includes the first three: these profiles rarely have just one red flag!

'New in town' is a favourite Sergai phrase

Offline Longshot

No free gallery is often a good clue, stupidly long likes list including pregnant and sybian.

Along the same lines, "...located in the city centre..." with no mention of the actual city in the profile text tends to red flag for me

Alternatively 1 or 2 pics in the free gallery, yet hundreds in the PG section.

If the ad looks too good to be true then it probably is.

All these could be genuine reasons. No phone number - she might only give it out via email to avoid phone wankers. Only email contact same as before, might get bored being bombarded with text. Verification pending waiting for approval. Anonymous pics might be in a relationship, work as say a teacher were it could get her sacked or live in a small community.

One thing we know for a fact is that scammers and fakers consult UKP regularly and the more we share the details of how we spot fakes, the more they change their tactics.

For example, show where else the image can be found but please don't spell out exactly how you found out.  :hi:

Perhaps... however I think most people would tally up the flags and make a decision based on the result rather than hang their hat on one or two.  For example, I know genuine SPs that for some reason can't / wont verify.  I know many that only give out their number after an email or two.  I know many that fear being recognised, hence the 'anonymous' photos.  On balance, no number + no decent photos + unverified + low / no feedback + fairly recently registered is a red card all day long.

I actually find the best indicators to be the account being very new and the photos showing a lot of face OR being very high quality.  If you get both of these together, i can almost guarantee you it's bullshit.  And with the constant churn of new profiles, if you just decide to filter out any that were created within the past couple of weeks you'll probably avoid the majority of these fakes.

So which of these profiles is bullshit then?

External Link/Members Only

or

External Link/Members Only

If I understand you correctly you'd say it's the first one right? (photos showing a lot of face AND being very high quality) ???

Whereas it's the second one that's bullshit and the first one is genuine.

And by genuine I mean that

a) you're going to meet someone

b) they will be the person in the photos

And I know this because I've seen her in the flesh - not because I had a booking with her, but because I saw someone else and she said hi while I was there.

Ok great.  I will stick to my process, you do you.  I don't expect to be right 100% of the time - and for the record I would say both of those look somewhat dodgy - but please remember I said it's a totting up exercise... The photo thing is only one aspect.
