Heard nothing for a few days by way of response, so having decided to give up, but not wanting to leave my request open, I messaged again, this time saying 'I asked for an appt at X time/date, I've heard nothing from you so forget that request, I'll look elsewhere'.
Within a few mins I get a reply saying 'that time is good for me' and giving a phone number to text on the morning of the meet. I message pretty much straight back saying, 'OK, if you're sure you're available then great, I'll text you on the day as instructed, look forward to meeting you'.
Couple of days later, on the morning of the appointment, I text as requested - checking that she's still ok for the meet - no response! Now I have a dilemma - I'm a good 45 mins from Shrewsbury, so fearing that she might reply half an hour before the meet and I'd not be able to get there on time, off I set for Shrewsbury.
As I'm driving though, I decide that much as I'd like to see this girl, I'm not going to chase her if she's so obviously uninterested. I decide that I'd get to the locality in plenty of time, and if I'd received a reply to my earlier text confirming that we were still on by the time I got there, then I'd text straight back saying 'right, I'm here, what's the address...?", and conversely if I'd heard nothing by that point, then she clearly wasn't interested, and I wouldn't contact her further.
In the event, I got there, had still heard nothing from her, so went and got breakfast instead! Shame, as she looks gorgeous, but I do like a girl to at least go to the trouble of pretending that she wants to see me!
