Author Topic: Am I right to be pissed off?  (Read 1696 times)

After a booking was cancelled, I decided to head somewhere else. I got there, and was told the girl I wanted to see was already busy and would be about 20min. I was told I couldn’t stay on the premises due to Covid restrictions, so I said I would come back. 15 min later, I returned, to be told that a regular had turned up and the girl would be busy for another half hour.

The receptionist knew I was coming back, but let this regular in anyway.

I know it might be a touchy subject, but do I have the right to feel pissed off?

Offline punter6199

Yes I would be pissed off too if in your situation that's alot of bad luck their. Did you eventually get to see the girl or did you go somewhere else.

Offline Rotherhampunter

No, had an appointment to get to, so didn’t have the time. Be looking at my days off next week now.

I would give what ever parlour that was a wide birth and spend your money elsewhere. You should defo fo a negative review.

I didn’t get to see anyone, so a review would be inappropriate, I feel. I won’t be back there as I’m not around that way very often.

Not used a parlour in a long old time, but this strikes me as not unusual for that type of establishment?

If they have a choice between a new punter who says he will come back in 15 minutes (after they asked him to come back of course) and then a regular turns up and the girl is ready then I reckon most parlours would go with the regular (?).

Not saying it’s right at all, but it’s not a surprise to me that they would operate this way.

From their perspective it’s a regular who’s here now and who they want to keep happy versus a new punter who might not even come back.

As it Honeypot in Sheffield by any chance? They do this all the time.

This makes a lot of sense but I would still be pissed off if it happened to me and I wouldn't visit that parlour again.

No, it wasn’t.

Any reason why you dont seem keen on sharing which one it was?

Personally I've not had any problems with honeypot other than there being no girls I fancied and a bit of waiting, but I've not been back for donkeys.

Yeah 100%. Not defending the parlour at all. It’s a crappy thing to do, but standard operating procedure for a lot of them.

Absolutely, I'd be well pissed off. It wouldn't have happened if you had been allowed to stay on site.

Name and shame, get a negative review up.

It's happened to me at "Second Class" (not) AND an almost "Greek capital" named place, even though bookings are not allowed apparently.

You can just name them, you won't get into trouble

Guessing the second one is Athena, not sure about the first one.

My money is on the OP visiting Athena as well.

Honeypot, Diplomat and Paradise are currently allowing people to wait around inside. Haven't been to any of the others but we can rule those 3 out Haha

It happened to me at Classic several times over the years.

It happens in pubs if your not a regular face the regulars usually get served first even though I ve been queuing longer
I wouldn't dwell it on guess it wasn't meant to be to be fair how many people go an don't come back
I once took 2 buses to get to Bradford looked at the girls an went home didn't like any of them put the money back in the punting tin an look forward to spending it another day when things are back to normal

Yes regulars often get served first in pubs but everyone gets served in the end. They don't tell you to come back later and when you do they've run out of beer
