Hi everyone, new here. Sorry if this isn't allowed pls remove.

I am visiting Cardiff in June and fancy a sordid time from the comfort of my own room. Are there any hotels with parking recommended that are punt friendly, and walking distance to town, or am I better off forgetting the idea?

I think it's generally considered a bad idea to name hotels on the forum.

Can't really see you having a problem having a "guest" to your room though.  That's a different proposition than an SP setting up in a hotel room and having a steady stream of blokes visit which is the usual consideration for a punting-friendly hotel.

I think Doyle is right, but others may be able to confirm.  It's not a problem, just Google hotels with parking.

I always arrange to meet up in the bar, or some other public space.  Less likely to be challenged by some over zealous receptionist.  You can always just walk if she is a complete minger

Thanks both - I figured that may be the case. I am familiar with some of the central ones so might just pick something that from memory seems reasonable. I don't get the impression you have to book a 5* - but nor am I planning on shacking up in the ibis.

Free car park in the "Future Inn Cardiff Bay" never any issues having a guest walking straight to your room.

CB's list is obviously more helpful as you particularly wanted a central hotel, my help was not useful. Enjoy your stay anyway  :drinks:
