I can appreciate the worry and concern, but there can be other reasons if you have a sudden tightness across the foreskin.  Thrush for instance.

thats a daft comment, weight loss and cock problems are nothing to do with will power,its like telling people who need glasses that they are just lazy, if your cock is not sorted when you are a toddler there is no avoiding surgery as an adult, its astonishing the no of men who basically have no sex life cos of this.

Definitely wasn't the case for me either. I couldn't pull my foreskin back at all but within a couple of months I could pull it fully back when erect.

As others have said, visit a doctor they can prescribe a cream to aid with it but you need to be willing to do more than apply this, it takes a few weeks of persevering. If the doctor has advised circumcision as the only option I'd definitely seek a 2nd opinion before going ahead. I'd actually found an entire forum devoted to the issue of phimosis and lots were successful with stretching using various techniques.

The kit I found that had been used by someone on the forum was a balloon with a syringe, you'd inflate this between the glans and foreskin and could monitor progress with the amount you were filling the syringe, found this to be very effective but obviously way overpriced for what it was! Apart from that just bought the rings that have been linked but think I found they didn't go to a big enough size so had to source from elsewhere, they are just the fleshtunnels people put in their ears. I had phimosis till my mid-30's - I didn't even know it had a name or that it was a problem till a woman mentioned it to me.

Do NOT get circumcised - it's not necessary. And frankly, you don't even need to see a doctor - they'll probably recommend a surgical solution.

This is how I got rid of mine :

- Fill a bath tub with enough hot water to immerse your body and lie in it for 15 mins so the penis and the foreskin gets warm and soft.
- Whilst still lying in the water, gently stretch your foreskin but not so much that you feel pain. At first this may mean just being able to stretch it very slightly.
- Repeat this about 3 times a week, and you'll notice that each time you can stretch that little bit further. The key is not to over-stretch it - this can create
scar tissue which then will not stretch at all. Also do not try to force your foreskin back over the penis head if it's tight. Just give it time and you will get there.
- Do this for 2-3 weeks (or more). It took me 3 week and then I was able to get the foreskin back over the penis head. At first it was still tight, but gradually became easier and easier.
- Your head will be very sensitive at first but with exposure, this will reduce.

- Go and get your newly-enhanced cock sucked real good by some hottie.

I realised in my late teens this was a problem and google back in those days led me to this technique.

I couldn't retract my foreskin at all. The bathtub trick worked. I can now pull back my foreskin with ease and comfort. The only problem is that my head does not go past the foreskin automatically when erect. I have to do it manually myself. I don't see this as a problem and I assume during sex - especially with oily handjobs it feels amazing having the skin move.

As I mentioned before I eventually went down the circumcision route.. but make sure you try all other options first. Mine eventually had what someone mentioned as micro tearing which lead to scarring and that couldn't be treated, the stretch rings just made the scars really sore and the steroid creams were redundant for scars.
It’s really good this subject has been brought up as it appears to be really common but not a lot of people talk about it.
The circumcision op is nothing to be scared about either, a quick procedure but the worse bit was no sex or masturbation for 4-6 weeks after Untill fully healed.

I see quite a lot of guys with this issue,  some only go partially back and some not at all with just a small hole to pee and cum through.

From my perspective I find it uncomfortable giving oral with a foreskin like this as in my mind it never feels clean, there is that warm damp pocket between the foreskin and the head that can't get washed properly especially if it can't be retracted when flaccid.

Its great to see lots of good advice on stretching and on circumcision,  I couldn't find if anyone has mentioned that you can have what is called a partial circumcision where less that half the foreskin is removed, basically just the tight band leaving you with enough to still give the sensation of skin moving over the head during sex, wanking, oral etc

I was circumcised just before 50 (mid 50s now) and wish I had had a partial circumcision.
For me the skin would come back when flaccid but not when erect, it wasnt that the foreskin was tight around the penis it was tight on the bottom (called frenulum?). For me since being done I find sex marginally better but wanking isn't half as much fun as it used to be, I think when my circumcision was done too much skin was removed and the result is no slack skin hard or soft. I would recommend anyone thinking of getting cut to research it a lot more than I did
