Happened to read an article on BBC External Link/Members Only   "Covid inequality: 'I struggled with the bills and my health' "

Which led me to the FCA Financial lives survey.

Quite telling what it showed, before and after the initial covid waves.

Not sure what the consequences for the population financially will be once the economy starts to recover.

The executive summary was an interesting read. The full report however is too long.

Interesting report. I think the Covid financial fallout will only start to be properly felt when the furlough money dries up. Although I do believe some companies are now having to pay back the loans they got last year, which will undoubtedly tip many over the edge.

The one good thing the UK does have going for it is our rediscovered Independence from Europe. The EU will be doing all in it's power to protect France & Germany at the expense of other EU nations, once things get up and running properly again. We at least will be in the position to arrange our own trade deals all around the world.
