just dont be a s#it head and then everyone can be happy innit lol x

But the point we've been making from the get go is that it doesn't matter if you've been a good punter, some SP with an unexplained vendetta or just a mood on can fuck up our "reputation".  So rather than telling us, who are already wary of dodgy punters and trying to weed them out of this forum, perhaps you'd care to challenge your fellow SPs to be honest and get the dangerous or unstable ones out of the business?

I got talking to a WAG who made me aware of a app called Clienteye which she uses. Think UKPunting for escorts. It's an app where escorts sign up to and log details of what you look like against your phone number and leave warnings for others like time wasting etc.

She showed me the app (owned by vivastreet) you simply enter the phone number into the search and a ton of comments come up.

Anyone else familiar with this?

Well for the first time today an SP refused me a meeting because of a report on ClientEye that I didn't turn up.
That is something I've never done and I have a fairly strong idea who did this maliciously as the reports are dated.
I also checked my other punting phone and this also has a malicious report on it,again for no reason.
A poor reflection on the spitefulness of some SPs.

Turns out I have two reports on it.

One calls me a text pest, but references a completely different person (by name and location).
The other simply states I 'cancelled with plenty of notice'.

So that's useful.

I can't see a problem with that.

What’s the point of CE if information is being shared in that way? Just my view  :unknown:

I think the definition of warnings seems to vary with the prossie dearie. So someone cancelling with plenty of notice would not deserve a CE comment in your opinion? What about being late?
It sounds to me as if it was invented to warn about violent customers, which is a very good idea and one I support totally. But don't the examples suggested on the thread suggest it is abused by some? Not you personally, but some?

Oh never mind.
It was a case of if you are joining in the conversation you could have given examples of what you find reasonable use of CE rather than it being a carte blanche blessing.
Don't worry your wee heid about it. And no of course I wouldn't want to put words into your mouth, that would be pointless.

I despair  :unknown:

I don't see how, as the data subject, being able to see what was reported against my number in any way affects how useful that information is to others?  It's not like by looking at it I've in some way affected what's written or anyone else's ability to view it or use it as they see fit.

As it turns out, it was absolute useless nonsense anyway.  I'm fairly certain it wasn't designed to alert users to the fact I gave adequate notice of a cancellation.

Well, as long as you find it valuable that's all that should matter to you.  I'm all in favour of a service that allows SPs to share information to keep themselves and others safe; however the anti-UKP rhetoric, and your views on the subject even being allowed to see the data stored about them, worries me a little.  This type of resource shouldn't be tainted by agenda.

I personally don't particularly like this, it feels targeted and unnecessarily bias.

I've put probably 6 or 7 reports onto CE in the 6 years I've been working, 2 were clients who physically threatened me, one of those changed numbers and aw names twice to get round my blocks,  the last time threatening to kick my door in unless I opened it and provided a service as he was a nice guy and didn't see why I wouldn't see him

2 others both got serious eas and turned stalkerish and  I felt this was something they could go on to exhibit with other escorts.

The others were guys who no showed without a cancellation message on more than one occasion even after me giving them a  message about letting me know if they couldn't make it.

It's interesting actually as unless someone has reports for violence or threats I tend to take them on face value, interestingly while I had spare time the other day I ran my contacts through CE and discovered quite a few with reports against them that I've seen with absolutely no issues,  one chap in Bristol had 7 reports again for time wasting and boundary pushing but he was an absolute sweetheart with me (I hadn't checked his number before the booking)

I can see the validity of linking any numbers, aw names etc and if a ukp name is known then fair enough but actually being sure who that is if they haven't done a review of a booking or making a report just because you think you have found out that person is on here is wrong IMO.

There's a fundamental problem with Client Eye
To remove an incorrect / false record they require proof of identity and of ownership of the phone.
However no such checks are required to post a record - there seems to be nothing to prove the identity or truthfulness of the poster

Really, there's little that could be done to verify the content of a report, and as the users are required to prove their credentials when signing up I guess that's seen as sufficient due diligence on that front.

Here is the direct tweet as it may be deleted.

"UKPunting users ?

Your time is almost up, our users will soon be able to search and report your usernames and get any linked telephone numbers"

This is dreadful. The app may be useful, but the tone of this tweet is clearly threatening and/or harrassing. Secondly, the statement that they will harvest, scrape, store and use such personal information without any consent or sufficient checks is probably illegal.

Providers may be using this service, but anyone trusting an app that clearly demonstrates they would break the law or has little understanding of it would be worrying to me, if I were them. I'm assuming providers give details to sign-up, so what is to stop this app deciding to exploit such information?

On the basis of the above tweet a complaint should be lodged with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at minimum. How they are using the data, or acting as a private vigilante service outside the realm of any understanding of the law is worrying.

This thread has been dragging on for over a year yet still people don't understand what the regulations are.

What personal identifying information is there in a user name on here or with a punting phone number for that matter.  If there is a report about you how are you going to prove you are estats in order to have it removed, something you would have to do.

BTW, have you contacted ClientEye and asked them about how they comply with the DPA?   :unknown:  I have.
