I have not been active for a long time for a different reasons. I have been reading the forum every day and I was trying to find the best punt. But from all your reviews I was getting more and more cautious. One of the reasons - I did not have a punting phone. Job done. I got it. The very next day - I did it.

Occasionally the OH borrows my phone to use the net or make a call. I was thinking about a second phone but its only useful if it was hid and taken out for times of use. Otherwise it could easily get 'borrowed'.

Yeah a punting phone makes sense as if you’re in a relationship the last thing you want is for a service provider messaging you to let you know they’re working again or something which has happened to me but it’s ok as it’s been sent to punting phone which is hidden away and only comes out as and when. Worst case scenario I read of some punter whose phone was hacked by psycho service provider or her group. If that happens god knows what sort of data they would have access to on your phone.

Yep, keep it switched off unless in use, hidden it in your vehicle so it doesn't get found or stolen, or better still at work.
Always put a numeric lock on it, and preferably different to your day to day phone, even if it's 1-1-1-1.
