I would agree about getting 2x cameras rather than the phone; set them up, let them go, get on with the job, and sort it all out later. It's difficult being a performer, producer, and cameraman all at the same time.
Postimpressionist speaks from hard-won experience but If you only have a smartphone I would say that is still a very good way to go for, discretion, speed, quality, stress-free convenience, and the Pros listed below.
Most of my meetings include filming for several reasons -
Pros-* You have shelled out money, and have gone to a lot of trouble to arrange and perhaps travel to the meeting. You deserve to have a memento.
* The memory plays tricks and you will have a firm record of what has taken place.
* They can be replayed such as moments like these when for whatever reason you cannot punt.
* Out-Calls ( when applicable ) can be prepared at your leisure.
* On playback you can watch what you did right and wrong to improve your technique.
* On playback, you can learn how to maximize and allocate your time productively between different LIKES.
* Costume wearing and closeups can be included.
* On playback in the future, you can appreciate meetings that went well and re-book them. Additional meetings if In-Call, then does not necessarily need filming.
* Reviews and write-ups, later on, will be accurate and stills will be available for inclusion ( faces hidden )
* Nice bodies which you did not have time to appreciate can be admired at your leisure.
Cons-* Frustrating when filming is not offered. With the best, I have to reluctantly forego and book anyway.
* Sometimes an extra charge is made, however, I would not go above £30.
* Stopping & starting during the session to change camera batteries. Finding a plug for lighting and a way to position it.
* Yes it is stressful for In-Calls, in a new environment with the clock ticking to be the director, producer, cameraman, performer & setting up all the equipment!
A suitcase containing everything needed is taken.
At a session, I set up 4 video cameras, some on short tripods to place on any shelves & tables, and long tripods to place on the floor around the bed at different angles.
A handheld Olympus video & stills take care of costume posing & close-ups.
A 200-watt bulb is important as rooms are often dimly lit.
Absolute discretion and privacy regarding the meeting are always assured at the start.
