Author Topic: Are negative reviews becoming more commonplace in 2020?  (Read 845 times)

Hi All,

Was just wondering looking through the reviews recently, and wanted to put this out there as a question..

Do you reckon Negative and Neutral reviews are becoming more commonplace than compared with recent years?

If so, what do you think are the reasons? COVID, lower footfall as a result?

Wonder if the site admins can you a bit of reporting/data analysis to confirm my hypothesis at least in terms of simple data as =ve vs negative reviews per month?

Cheers

It could be that people tend to only post when they have a negative or neutral experience.  I know that I used to do that.  Sometimes I see an SP who has many positives on here and I don't post a positive review as it would just be adding to her long list of positive reviews and not provide any more info than is already available in her other reviews, so I feel I'd be wasting my time.

part of the problem might be with those of us that see a 'positive' girl over again, and can't post another review for six months, hence why a lot of us are having good times, but can't crow about it?

I’m with Randomguy on this. I’ve seen many girls with scores of positive reviews and in all honesty can’t be bothered to add to the list if there’s nothing new to add. Writing reviews is effort so if I’m not going to add anything new I usually don’t bother.

I personally think that genuine negative/neutral reviews add more to the forum than repeated positive reviews of the same girls.

Agreed.  Each punt carries risks, now more so than ever, and the reward has to be worth that risk.  My very limited punting since covid kicked-in has mainly been with SPs I have seen before and so can be fairly sure I am going to have a good time with.

Seconded.  One man's meat is another's poison.  Just because you find a particular SP attractive and enjoyed her service doesn't mean that I will.  Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and so on, and different people want different things from a punt.  Negative reviews are far more useful - warnings about SPs who are unreliable, don't offer the advertised services, look nothing like their pictures, and so on, are useful to everybody.

Same. I am a low-frequency, low-risk person, so I have a tendency to visit SP's I feel I can trust. This does mean I'm less likely to TOFFT (much to the chagrin of some, I'm sure), but I'm also not going to keep on submitting positive reviews for (e.g.LolaBell) when I've already reviewed them, and they're still getting regular positive feedback from other members.

I think it would be worth resubmitting if the service changed substantially, or my opinion changed. Apart from that, there'd just be too much duplication.

My understanding of the rules, as well as what seems logical is that what you are doing KP is ok. Lots of guys on here have regs who they'll only ever review once unless the service changes. Also, nobody has to go around looking for TOFTTs, all just personal choice of how you punt.

Just to chip in... if when doing due diligence I see a neg review I'll often check out the punting ratio of the reviewer.

If the review ratio is highly skewed towards negative  I might not give the negative as much credence.
