The last message I received from Head1 was the donation message.
The one before that was the vitriolic threat to ban me for using the p word.

A couple of members have pointed out to me that it was Up your Effing Manor that was rude to me, not Head1.

It took me a while to check (the owners/admins, whoever they are, are assumed to act as one).

My apologies if any offence was caused to Head1.

I have made a small donation.  BTW - I saw this thread before xmas then forgot about it with all the xmas stuff - so omitted to donate, which I expect might be a reason for the slow results.

It was a palaver, probably due to my cocking it up.

1. Go to your account on a prominent online shopping site

2.  Click on Gift Cards and Top up

3.  Click on Print at Home

4.   Put the amount you want to donate in the Gift Card box (it doesn't  have to be £50, it can be any amount)

5.    Then checkout and pay via credit or debit card.

6      You will receive TWO emails from A...The second one will have a gift code.

7.      Email the gift code to UKP: [email protected]

(I firstly thought you had to top up your gift card balance, but then it didn't let me email it to anybody, so I shall have to use it on my next purchase, no big deal but a bit confusing).

This isn't aimed at you mcardle but it takes a bit of thought the 1st time you do it if you haven't done it before however if I needed to do it again then it would be a doddle.

The thing is that clear and helpful instructions such as you posted must have been already posted half a dozen time but people still post asking how to donate 
The biggest problem is people don't read threads properly or don't read them from start to finish / don't take in what's actually written, I get the same at work with people asking questions that have already been answered the day before if they only bother to check.

Not sure how some people manage to actually arrange and go through with a punt

I'm guessing that either Head1 will use the vouchers to buy stuff on "A" that he needs and then pay the Techie with money or pass the codes on to the Techie who purchases a fair amount of stuff on "A"
You need to bear in mind that "A" sell all manner of things so if you want a state of the art new TV costing a grand or more that eats up a lot of vouchers

Anyway if it works for Head1 and the Techie and results in the site being fixed then I don't care whether it's an "A" voucher or Luncheon voucher, just wondering though a bloke offered me some magic beans in exchange for a cow recently.................

Obviously up to you the individual,but surely it's Far easier and more discrete,especially for the less tech savvy   (  me included  )  amongst us,to just go into Tesco,buy a South America rain forest voucher,with cash to make it less traceable,and just personal message HEAD1 the voucher code.
Simples.....obviously don't Fuck it up like I did and send the code on your Tesco receipt. The actual code that's required is on a card INSIDE the voucher packaging.

Thanks for the donations that continue to drip in. Your support so far has got the doors open again and we have had a massive number of new registrations and additional reviews added to our knowledge base.

Within the thread Admin asks for a pm so that we can see details on how we could contribut. Problem is unless I have missed something, I cannot send a pm to anyone until I guess some future date when I have my stripes.
My message to Admin is that you are likely missing out on getting some wonga from noobies such as me who would be more than happy to send some ££££’s particularly as we are relieved at being to finally get access to UKP.
I would go further and suggest a ‘voluntary’ contribution of x£’s be made by new members as a sort of ‘golden hello guys’.

Just a thought and hope I am not speaking out of turn, had I been able to I would have sent this by PM to Admin.
Be interesting to here what other new members think.

A plethora of alternative methods will make it confusing. Some Members have struggled to grasp how to send a Voucher code so imagine the meltdown if Bitcoin was chosen.

We will continue to look for an alternative method that ticks all the boxes.

If I could just add one hopefully helpful thing.
When you go into one off the various aforementioned stores.
DO NOT ask if they do A vouchers as you will simply get a blank stare.
Ask for an A Gift Card! It’s probably on a large rack near the till alongside ten or twenty other gift cards!

Im forever setting up throwaway emails i constanly forget the passwords etc.  A pm on here would keep things tidy.

I originally thought "A" voucher was A.W(ank) and yes I can deal with that, just top up AW credits and transfer them to Head1. Job Done.
Then thought how the F**k had Head 1 got a profile as a SP on AW but, hey ho, this dude is smarter than me , so just go with the flow.
Then after reading a bit more I realised "A" was a big river in South America and I just needed to buy An "A" voucher. Never done this before 
Walked up to my local Mini Supermarket and asked for an "A" gift voucher, handed over cash, got a bit of paper in return, Pm'D Head 1 with the code and job done. 
Do You know this could not be simpler. 
I do fail to see the angst this has created in what I would have thought was a group of fairly savvy Men ( and a few Women) who can navigate the tribulations of, a punting phone, a fake e mail account, a fake Aw account, a fake persona and  booking a WG then producing the cash before indulging in carnal acts.
90125 if you have to make it simpler then please do so but I for one see no need.

I’ve noticed that as well. Well I can’t specifically say ‘everyday’ but I have noticed when I wake up for a wee and sometimes come back to bed and read the forum, it will ‘gateway’ me. Never notice it at any other time.
