How do all.

I have not punted in a while thanks to lockdown but I had a little gander on VS and AW for old times' sake. I noticed that pretty much all escorts in the Shropshire and Wolverhampton areas are much dearer. It is understandable with covid, but with people being poorer and escorting being made dearer, it does not seem like a logical business plan.

Be interesting to see what survives over the next few months. Am I wrong on the price increases, or do girls offer you lower rates if you are a regular?

You contradict yourself by firstly saying it's "understandable" and then saying " It does not seem logical". I would assume that demand is lower, so prices would stay the same or reduce.

Pussy inflation is rife.

It depends how long you want to book for and the WG.
I expect many would favour longer bookings with regulars.
This way they are hoping to reduce the the risk of catching COVID and being caught for working whilst in lockdown/tier 3.

Of course if they aren’t busy then they will take short notice quickies but I ain’t seeing prices for 30/60mins coming down.

There is a logic to them wanting to see less clients to reduce risk and (hopefully) allow time to clean/sanitise in between.

Also if they all ration supply then they can charge higher prices

Market forces and supply and demand are strange bedfellows....
If the WG has a stable of regulars she can advise them of the price hike on the grounds of needing an increase for her to keep going/stay in business; and needing the extra pennies to cover Covid compliant costs.
However without a steady stream of regulars/fan boys the WG is gambling her reputation will in itself validate the price hike. If not she makes less money/even has dusty phone syndrome.

So the numbers game isn't a good predictor.

As for sanitising between punters...some can't even be bothered to shower. Maybes a wipe down with a well used wet wipe is the limit many will go to.

Minimal contact for all regardless of occupation.

Just a feature of marketing. Everyone loves a 'bargain', within context of their own budget. I'll happily pay 200-250 for 2 hours, but I'm unhappy to pay much above 140 for an hour (but context is *2 1-hour punts is twice the travel, parking etc). I'm putting to scratch my kinks, those take time and trust. My wanks are usually better than a quicky. But there are punters who very much want their one pop quickly and be gone

I am just surprised that rates have not gone up faster elsewhere.  There are many fewer SPs coming in from abroad, for obvious reasons, meaning less competition, although the dreaded ROMs still seem to be getting in somehow.  There is little point in moaning about it, market forces will set the rate.  You may think an SP is over-priced, but as long as there are enough desperate suckers out there, that's the rate.  And there do seem to be some desperate enough.  I am amazed at the number of reviews being posted in some of the level 3 areas.

Depends on the SP. I have known several SPs who don't offer bookings longer than two hours - it is as long as they can entertain a complete stranger, stuck in the same room together, without things getting awkward and running out of things to do and talk about.  I wouldn't take a six hour booking unless I knew the SP really well.  Likewise I long ago gave up paying for overnighters - if a girl doesn't like you enough to want to stay of her own accord, paying her to put up with you for 10-12 hours is rarely going to turn out well.

The problem is that after the first, long lockdown there were a load of punters who had saved a shed load of cash through not being able to punt, and were desperate to spend it.  Increased demand and reduced supply inevitably leads to price hikes.  The looming lockdown I suspect is going to make some desperate to get a few punts in while they can, leading to another hike in demand.

I think the prices have gone up ridiculously,  not far back the norm was 60h/h, 100 hr.

Also with hotels closed down it limits their ability to tour and actually work.

I wouldn't be holding your breath for prices to come down again.  Post-Brexit there are surely going to be far fewer Roms coming here, driving down prices at the lower end of the market.

Yup, again, one of the laws of business. Once a price ceiling has been breached, very hard for it to come back down. Only massive deflation or shake up of the market (like when EE girls arrived on mass) will bring them down. I don't see how either of those things will happen any time soon.

Inflating also just bites. Real inflation rate has run at 2.5% since the 08 recession. Doesn't sound a lot but it adds up. So in 10 years, an SP who charged £100/hr would now be £135/hr. An SP who was 150 would now be about 200. We feel it because lots of jobs have had stagnant wages for years, even decades, so we can still only afford/expect the earlier price point.
