After some advice

Due to age, my punts are always accompanied with a 50mg blue pill.
However recently that hasn't been enough to keep me hard for long enough, the last WG I saw suggested I try a cock ring.

To those who have used them, do they work?

I have googled them and come away totally confused as to the different shapes and sizes ..

Just go down to Halfords they have all sizes of O-rings , that’s if you just want the basic type

They do work, you will never have had such a big hard-on

Start with a selection of 3 Silicon Rings something like this:

Start with the biggest ring & work down the sizes, I prefer to have the ring behind my balls, go with whatever works for you.

I have exactly same problem and have tried a cock ring several times with mixed results.

First of all, I discovered that for me there is no effect at all unless I put it around my balls as well as my cock. Research online shows that this is an accepted method, but that makes it hellishly tight and you don't want to have it in place there for longer than 10-15 minutes.

More recently, I've read that it works better if you put it on before you get fully hard. That seems counter-intuitive to me – isn't it there to trap the blood that's already flowed in? – but I will try it out at some point.

On a related subject, I've also found that drinking any more than the driving limit for alcohol drastically reduces my erection capability, even with a blue pill. So bear that in mind too if you ever have a pre-punt drink.

I put it on as soon as I'm finished in the shower & before the action starts i.e. semi flaccid
No problems getting hard & no pain unless unless it's on for quite a while without getting hard (i.e. no getting to know you time after the shower, the action starts now

)

The only time I do experience discomfort is after I've shot my load, it has to come off straight away

Thanks for all the advice, especially about Halfords, I'll bear that in mind.

Seems they work 'in general' - but I'd need to work at finding a way that works for me.

As for a pre-punt drink, never anything stronger than coffee for me.
Having said that, in my much younger days, after a few it would stay hard for hours - if only I had the stamina to keep up

OP: Is your 50 mg of Viagra on NHS prescription? If so, it may be worth checking with your GP to see if Cialis would be more appropriate for you

Just get a cable tie.

You can put it behind your balls quite easy once you are hard and adjust to suit. Some girls will charge you money for that !

I think there is some psychology at work especially when you’re meeting a SP for the first time and you are probably not as relaxed as normal. There was so much information and sometimes conflicting advice about cock rings online it can all be quite confusing.

I've found that very true. However this was a first time with this WG.
Being more 'mature', her ministrations and patience did help, but her advice regarding a ring I'm hoping might turn a good meeting into a great meeting next time

Ive used a metal cock ring, available in different sizes and mine has a 50mm internal diameter. It has to be put on and taken off flaccid and isnt uncomfortable and does keep your cock hard.

An alternative is a leather strap that usually have popper fastening which are adjustable and can be easily taken off. I hadn't thought of a cable tie which would probably work but has edges which could make it uncomfortable and would have to be cut off!

Used the durex vibrating one. Vibration didn't do anything for either of us, but I liked the ring. Put it behind balls worked better.

Erections are a remarkably complex bit of physiology. The stimulation both cerebral and physical cause increased arterial blood flow into the penis causing it to engorge, but this only produces an erection because signals are also sent to constrict the veins taking the blood away again. ED can often be a reduced effectiveness of the latter as well as the former. A cock ring will, theoretically at least, improve restriction of the veins whilst having much less effect on the arterial flow inwards.

I wouldn't recommend a cable tie, its likely to cause skin damage and difficult to remove in a hurry. However I have used a shoe/bootlace during tie and tease denial handjob sessions, which is very effective at producing rock hard erections but only if the right cerebral stimulation on your part is present, together with good physical technique from your partner.

I gather cock rings are to help with getting / maintaining an erection. Do they have any influence on prolonging time before you cum ?
