 It's always been a very pleasant return trip by train from Cardiff central to Temple Meads and down to the old dock's lunch. Then a wander until mid afternoon, meet the moggies including a cup of tea, followed by two hours great varied interaction.

Totally agree. Stage 4 kidney failure is pretty severe, but it's not a death sentence. Worth reading the literature, only about 1 in 50 to 1 in 10 people who are diagnosed with it go as far as kidney failure, though I'm guessing the further along that journey you are the greater the chances. If you maintain a healthy lifestyle, exercise and stay away from the usual tax raising toxins, you can lead a relatively normal and productive life.
