I'm looking to book a hotel in Birmingham City Centre and have an escort over; are there any to avoid for? Don't want staff to scare or turn her away.

stayed in two hotels in the last week, one required me to fill in a covid questionnaire, this would have covered any others in the party had there been any, the other hotel was less rigid, however it was a much bigger hotel with lots more public space.

all staff were wearing mask in both hotels and hand sanitiser was very much apparent in both venues

Did you have to give your full name address and telephone number ?

The Ibis on Irving street is a good one. It’s bordering city centre. 5-10 mins walk to new street near the Bristol road. It has a car park (was free years ago when I last went be may be chargeable now) but the beauty was the reception is in its own building so no need to pass reception to get to the rooms. The rooms have The entrance direct to the car park. You literally open the room door and yOur out in the car park. Very easy and discreet.

I had a feeling you would have to . I guess it will be the same at all hotels but a worry if the hotel was to get a guest that tested positive and they then obviously contacted you for track and trace . Would be awkward explaining to your wife or partner why you was at the hotel

depending on how well you know the escort you could book her in as a guest under you booking, which mean she would either have to arrive and check in with you or you trust her enough to give her your real name or the one you booked the hotel with and booking confirmation number, you might also wish to know what name she would give if asked by the hotel.

I have used all these scenarios in the past pre covid

There are several on Hagley rd with reception away from the rooms, good example is the Apollo so you may have to give details but can meet your partner outside

This sounds great but I'm considering Ibis @ New Street Station since it's closer to the train station; has anyone been in during covid? I'm hoping guests can just walk straight to the room without being questioned/stopped. If not then I'll just fall back onto the Irving Street one.

Premier Inn above New Street station.

ibis new street is key carded to rooms. i met a girl there from seeking for coffee. was a discreete quite place. as soon as i entered they were asking questions what i want took my name phone number and email. no id check so i gave fake ones. they also took my sugar baby details. to book a escort ur gonna have check in together. hotels don't ask for id so u csn use fake names.

best way is to use air bnb or rented appatrments the whores use

As the receptionist was.more in your face and keyed lifts, I'd say you'd be more uneasy here than elsewhere. Not that theyd do anything other than follow process.
If the escort is an experienced one then it shouldn't be too much of an issue. The contact tracing deets are confidential too so she/you don't have to fill the form in front of each other.

I’ve never come across a hotel more discreet then Irving street. All other hotels do have a receiption you have to dodge. If you can divert and avoid reception there’s always other guests, lifts, long hotel corridors etc.

As for details during this crisis I would prefer to use my real name just in case there was a covid case and the hotel needed to contact me. I can then inform the wg myself so no need for them to have her details.

Although I've never booked Irving, I have visited and you're right, this along with Apollo seem the only ones with non lobby interactions. I should also add that vast majority of hotels, irrespective of whether I've used SPs or SBs, couldn't give a monkeys as to who enters or leaves. Things have changed slightly now with Coronavirus but saying that, it's not like a military operation, they only ask at check in and beyond that they'll only ask if you make eye contact. If you waltz around like a I do glued to my phone, nobody bothers.

Your right in terms of they don’t usually care except for one crucial thing. Judgement, they don’t care what you do but they do look at u funny etc as for me personally it’s clear as day if I walked into a hotel with a wg. I’m of a asian background and walking into hotels with anything other then a asain lady stands out especially in the Birmingham area and even more so if the workers at the hotel Are asain themselves (trust me thay can tell the diff - and I’m talking about Bengali/Pakistani ethnicities). And as a local brummy guy it’s not unlikely for me to bump into a familiar face when out shopping with family etc as the asain community tend to live and shop in certain areas. So with all that considered I have to be extra careful where I go and how I go about doing it.

Not sure what the situation is now, but memory serves that the Hampton By Hilton on Broad Street is accessed by lifts which means you can bypass the reception floor entirely and go straight to whatever floor your staying on. Can’t recall a keycard or anything to activate the lift either.

Jury’s Inn as well - again may have changed due to COVID but I’ve waked right pass reception to the lifts there before

I stayed in Jury's last night. Easy to walk straight past reception to the lifts or if you want to be extremely discrete there is a back entrance from the car park with access to lifts before you even get to reception.
