Hi All

Does anyone know the current state of play in Prague?  Is it all back to normal? Showpark is showing as open at the moment, so I'm guessing things are seen as 'normal' over there?

Not sure myself Chief. I was planning to try Prague and Frankfurt next week. Never visited either of them before, so it's just a pipe dream at the moment. I have been hovering over Skyscanner all of this week contemplating

Was there a couple of weeks ago, just about everything was open as normal, although the Showparks were still not open every day. It was actually a great time to visit because there were much fewer tourists than usual. Since then, they've seen an increase in corona cases and a few countries have added the Czech Republic to their 'at risk' list, so I'd make sure I'm up-to-date on the current situation before travelling, and can accept the risk that I might suddenly be required to quarantine on return.

Let me know what it's like.... I'm due to be there in 2 weeks, arriving around the 26th, if anyone is in the area at the same time

I can confirm Showpark Market is now open 7 days and although alot quieter than usual (probably better like this as more SP are readily available) there is still a full quota of SP working. Quite a few good looking ones there, Antonia  :dancegirl:

Prague is quieter than usual as it is normally heaving with tourists, Independents and flats are also up and running, although this will require a bit or research for location / service, should you want to branch out for a more expansive service list.

I'll need to get booking again soon  :D

The Czech Republic could be added to the UKs quarantine list sooon. Its infection rate is currently 15.5 per 100,000 but if it gets to 20 over a 7 day period it gets added to quarantine list.

"A handful of other countries with travel corridors are edging towards the Government's threshold, including Denmark (18 new cases per 100,000), Switzerland (17), and the Czech Republic ( 15.5)."

Another risk element is that your travel insurance is most likely not valid if Czech Republic on UKs quarantine list as FCO advice would be "essential travel only".

Worth a read not just for Prague but for planning any trips. A number of insurers are now offering COVID-19 travel insurance but what they offer may not be of much use

I spoke with my insurer, and because the trip was booked before COVID, my travel insurance is actually valid
