Make sure you negotiate what you want BEFORE you go in the room,always say what you want as a lot of the girls want to up sale you extras and try and take the piss,I've had some good punts in the Dam but also a few bad ones before I got wise to it all.If I was you I'd expect to spend 100 euro on a decent punt.The more you spend the better time you will get in my opinion.

Try vics or molly malones used to sail into Rotterdam every month and straight into Amsterdam never used the red light district it was just crap. Rotterdam docks used to be good just go in the bars. To address the original question: Yes, the red light districts are open but quite why you would want to come here at the moment is another matter.  Unfortunately the kind of tourists who choose to visit right now are those who don't care a toss about the current COVID situation. Mostly young Germans with some Belgians, UK and Irish. Social distancing in Amsterdam Centrum is absolutely non-existent (and has been since beginning of July when restrictions were lifted). Of course, cases have spiked in recent weeks including several at a student society in Warmoesstraat, announced yesterday.

From tomorrow, mask wearing is mandatory in many busier areas of the city including the main red light area, De Wallen.

Consider coming another time.

Tbh it has been a long time but i had some of the greatest nights of my life in Rotterdam amsterdam and arnhem and things have probably changed but the point i was trying to make is there's plenty of good action away from the red light districts.
