Apparently Sellers was a cunt to her. Very strange guy, and she was crazy in love with him too  :(.

BTW Spike Milligan was bipolar as well. Seems to often generate creative genius amongst the madness.

Yes, a very well known phenomenon, be it comedians, actors or pretty well any 'creatives'.

One particular comment I remember from Ekland, was that it was almost as if Peter Sellers didn't exist when he wasn't on-camera or performing. He would just basically ignore her for long periods. Must have been very distressing for the poor girl.

Of course by its very nature, that meant it was the side of Sellers the public never, ever got to see. We only ever got to see the entertaining side of Sellers.

Portsmouth City Council put up a blue plaque at the house where Sellers was born. Didn't mention him being a bit of a cunt. I shall start a petition to get it updated.

Man, when I was a teenager I had big crush on actress Hannah Gordon, before she'd even been in "Upstairs, Downstairs". My first ever proper girlfriend, with whom I lost my virginity back in 1900 and frozen to death, bore a remarkable similarity to her, even down to her attached ear lobes.

Here is a photo showing Hannah in her heyday, and what she looks like now, which makes me quite depressed, frankly, showing what a complete and utter bastard is Father Time and reminding me of my own parallel descent into decreptitude...

(I'm happy to report that I saw my first girlfriend recently and she's still looking good.)

In the 1970's, U.S. actress Stella Stevens used to play mostly trashy, kooky blondes. Due, I suspect, to the then fashion for not wearing a bra much, her breasts started to descend into a bit of a droop. I loved them that way.

I'll also confess to liking slightly frog-eyed Susan Sarandon for not being averse to shedding her clothes in the name of art:

It would be remiss if we didn't include the archetypal "10" here

Oh yes, thanks for that. Btw, my original intention was to have that slight tackiness implied by the 60's and 70's only, but we must allow the 80's too.

What about that John Derek, eh? Shagged Bo, Ursula Andress, Linda Evans and some other bird. Lucky bastard or never truly fulfilled by a love of his life?

The last one I can think of (until another one occurs) is the late Kate O'Mara. She was sexy but kinda scary too...

The topless blonde from Confessions of a Taxi driver was Anna Bergman.

Nice one Billy! I found it hilarious, back in the day, that Peter Wyngarde was voted the man young women would most like to lose their virginity to, having witnessed him flouncing down a street wearing a kimono and walking his two Afghan hounds. It's a shame his career ground to a halt following a couple of cottaging incidents. These days he could have laughed/shrugged it off like George Michael did.

I think of him when I hear that Harry Potter spell "Wingardium Leviosa", which I like to think means "Wyngarde was light on his feet".

In my school days, slightly earler, Gina Lollobrigida and Sophia Loren were heartthrobs (or maybe cockthrobs ).

Don't seem to be able to work out how to post images. Not sure if this one of G.L.will work.

A little off topic but this is my favourite from that particular LP. Didn't he get nicked for cottaging at some point around that time?

How ever did Ringo pull Barbara Bach? ...

It certainly wasn't his looks. But I've known quite a few ugly bastards over the years (none of them millionaires) who've pulled gorgeous women.

Offline sadolddeejay

One degree of separation from Peter Wyngarde is Isobel Black, who appeared in an episode of Department S, as well as Danger Man, a couple of Hammer horrors, The Intelligence Men (Morecambe and Wise film) and various TV dramas. I was obsessed with those flared nostrils, dark hair, blue eyes...

In The Eagle Has Landed;

How old was Jenny Agutter in the Eagle has landed?

The delay meant Agutter was 16 at the time of filming, which allowed the director to include nude scenes. Among them was a five-minute skinny-dipping scene, which was cut from the original US release.

If it weren't for Walkabout, I woundn't know who is Jenny! And she was hot in that movie! And I don't know too many hot chicks from the sixties nor the seventies as I wasn't born then! Loads of James Bond girls but I don't know a single name of any of the actresses from that time period.

Now, what other hot chicks from the 60's or 70's do I know? Just Dana Plato from Different Strokes. Wow! I can't be bothered to post pictures of her. Its a shame she off'd herself.

Next, maybe Judy Garland. I've no idea what she looked like through the sixties and seventies let alone looking hot. I'm too lazy to google lol. I think she died in late sixties through drug overdose. I only know what she looked like purely because of Wizard of Oz despite the movie came out in 1939, not the sixties/seventies. I would smash Judy during her time as Dorothy Gale.

I just remembered a newspaper headline when she was seeing some hunky German, and they'd been spotted dining in LA:

"Down and Kraut in Beverly Hills".

Well that's maybe stretching it a bit but she's still a fine looking women for her age and I'd happily give up my right bollock for a go on her.
