For anyone wanting to connect with their inner Druid, tomorrow's the day.

'Henge is of course closed, but the solstice is going to be livestreamed here: External Link/Members Only

Unfortunately, the forecast for the area is rain. And the robe I ordered from Matalan hasn't turned up, but I think I've got last year's hat.

Be there (in spirit) or be deeply ungroovy.

Trip to Primark?

No self respecting Druid would ever shop in Matalan, you are letting down the Grove.

Many years a go there was a cartoon showing a group of druids at a completed Stonehenge.
One is holding a drawing of a tower similar to the one at Pisa while a second is complaining to Fred Flintstone type character who is wearing a bowler hat
"But you cant cancel the project now  - we've just got the scaffolding up !"

I shook it about recently. A friend gave me a naughty massage. She was very kind.  :D

I've never been to stone henge. Will there be any hippy chicks with daisy necklaces holding hands singing Kumbaya?

Exactly, Stonedhenge.  That's certainly my memories of going with mates and my girlfriend many years ago, and what a fun time we had and met some real weirdos.

I went to Stonehenge fairly recently.

Russia took a shit on our front lawn with the Skripal poisonings, and Salisbury was hurt and in disarray  :(.

So I drove down and had a really nice day out in a beautiful ancient English city, to show my support. Stonehenge was nearby so I diverted for an hour or so to channel my inner druid .

New discovery at Stonehenge.

''LONDON (Reuters) - Archaeologists have discovered a wide circle of deep pits surrounding an ancient settlement near Stonehenge, opening up new lines of investigation into the origins and meaning of the mysterious, prehistoric monument.''

Jesus.  Other than that looking like a still from The Life of Brian, I can't believe people were allowed to not only get up close but even climb on it :scare:

I suppose if I had to be in a religion (I'm a devout atheist) Druidery would appeal in some way.  Are there any perks eg. priestesses to fornicate with?
