AW Hot Lists and excuses in the Covid era

So I am thinking about punting again but having made my own health decision I now have to find a way to punt when all my work routines are different and primarily based around being at home.

Plus point is that it has given me a reason to adapt my HL system which has been settled for a while now, I do love playing with my HLs!  Much fun to be had looking at all the profiles I have stored and moving them around, well what else is there to do?!

I have a few reasons I can give to get away from home that might allow a punt. So now for example I find myself having a HL for a hobby and finding all the WGs that I could pop around to see on the day I am out “golfing.  (It is not golf.)

So far I am a little short on reasons, wondering if I can get away with “ going for a drive around to have some space on my own”,:the criteria for those WGs would be close to home and only a short meet!

Unless i can magic up good work reasons to be away, which is tricky with everyone working from home I will need to expand the hobby list.

Club membership still coming out of the joint account?
Green fees normally paid by CC or cash?
Location services switched off on your phone or are you going to hide it at the club before slinking off?
Make sure your story holds up to the accounting she can see.

Better buy some golf clubs, plus fours and a natty cap

Obviously we all are in different situations. As things ease up one or two work related things have started that get me out of the house but few and far between. However not the overnight trips which were the best way for me of punting. Cannot see then returning even when hotels back open.

Get the trainers out and go for a run or get the bike out and go for a spin on that.

 Don't use a GPS tracker with your  fitness app of course

Come back 2hour later and say it was a nightmare, everyone had the same idea, queues were massive, and you could really have a proper look so you just bought a box of chocolates (need to come back with something other than COVID 19).

yep I have wondered about the shopping one but I suffer from not having decent WGs nearby so getting the timing to work is tricky.  Used to have a couple very close by, indeed on the way to shops, so I think it would have worked.

Attach your phone to a golf buggy while you slip off green to play a few holes. Find a WG who likes golf and get her to join you at the club. Pop behind the club house and have a game of crazy golf.Those little hills always mess up my aim for the hole. Remember your grass trimmer incase the area round the holes got a bit long during lock down while the groundsman been Furloughed.

Take up bird watching then you can say you're going to see a pair of Tits or a Wren. Beware of the Thrush though.
