Just noticed Marcus Rashford open letter..

Is this genuine or footballers have been shamed by Matt Hancocks claim that they needed to step up and do something to help...Seems a bit strange there was little heard from them until they were told off..

Now they all seem to jump on the socially aware bandwagon

For some reason you never see healthy food on offer in supermarkets, it’s always unhealthy food, it’s cheaper to live unhealthy than healthy.
Over the last 40 years governments have sold of playing fields to their friends in house building companies, so there is a lack of playing fields, children also spend less time out doors.

I don't know which supermarkets you go to, but this isn't the case in my local Tesco. Example: you can buy a decent-sized bag of loose spuds for between a quid and two quid, that will last a family for at least a few days. OR... you can buy some pre-packed spuds, ready-buttered and salted, for the equivalent of triple the price per spud.

Yes, it's easier to get the pack. Saves peeling, saves time, and saves thinking. But that's not the point if you're thinking of your kids' welfare.

Same with meat, chicken, fish and all the rest of it. A good quality fresh chicken can be had for six or seven quid, and again, feed a family for maybe a couple of days. Or you can get a pack of 12 chicken nuggets, made from Lord knows what, for around 4 or 5 quid. No contest, for me.

I suspect it's easier to live unhealthy than healthy.

It's a well known fact that there's far more obesity at the bottom end of the social scale, both parents and kids. While obesity can be a complex issue with various factors, statistically that basically that means people are eating shit.

That's the fancy, Shakespearean way of putting it.

In modern vernacular it might be something like: 'frequent speaker of bollocks, with the sole intention of winding everyone up'  :D

If he raises more than £32m then he definitely should be or else Col Tom is going to be dragged into a race debate.

In the current hysterical climate I fear you may be right.
