Argos is open Anth, I made a purchase there but two days ago, and collected it from the in store collection point in Sainsbury’s

Yes Sainsbury's is open as that is an essential supermarket. And thus the Argos in them are too. But the regular Argos's are not.

From my very brief stint elsewhere and reading Junies post in the relevant topic. She said she didn't want to open again, but the girls were insisting on it needing the money and so she did, reluctantly, as she works for the girls. Not the other way around.

I am not saying this intending to break the non-covid rules. Just trying to clarify things.

According to the latest-published regulations - the ones that allow gatherings of 6 people outdoors - any "gathering" indoors is prohibited if it involves two unrelated persons gathered together for any kind of "social interaction". So meeting an escort indoors will be a criminal offence during the lock-down period. Note, it is not the "interaction" that creates the offence but the fact the two people are unrelated.

You've made being 75 sound very depressing.

I guess sincerely good on you from what you've said. But if you have enough money to punt every week, would Seeking Arrangement not be better? I say this as I am simply guessing some women on there will see a 75 year old man with money as the ultimate gold digging exercise and offer you non stop (safer) sex hoping to rake it in. Anna Nicole Smith style.
I really dont understand why you you found my post .depressing  i have everything i want and the sex is just the icing on the cake.i have tried SA for a few months   and was dissappointed  that did not result ih any offers of sex.It still cost me money though as i fell for a sob story from a girl whose husband walked out and left her with a handicapped child and two and half thousand in debt and just for good measure smashed her face in..She did need reconstruction surgery and i did see the pictures, quite heartbreaking really and i did succumb.

Is sex with an escort social? I don't pay my family to spend time with me. It's work for the escort so who gets arrested? Is it the punter?

I see there is an article in the papers today saying that on 1st June the rules have been changed to explicitly say that meeting someone inside you do not live with is now illegal. This point was not clear in the older regulations the article says. So apart from the obvious risk of giving the infection to someone else the change makes it clear that a punt would be illegal.
Mind you seeing all those photos of people of beaches it will not be long before the second wave

What a farce.

An agency re-opening because the girls “forced their hand” and “needed” to work. If Premium didn’t want to re-open then they should have told the girls to go independent instead of “reluctantly” representing them. What a crock. Premium saw an opportunity to make money and put that out to try and indemnify themselves.

Up until today (1 June) it’s been illegal to meet people from other households. There’s no two ways about it. Premium, acting as an agency for girls offering punts, has been complicit in breaking the law.

Punting is a dangerous enough “hobby” as it is. It’ll be a long time before I even think about making a booking. If I do, I won’t be using Premium with their deliberate breaking of the law and clear reckless abandon for customer health.

When the people that actually make the rules in this country show a blatant disregard for their own rules it's hard for some people to take. When those same people refuse to apologise and make up stories that a five year old would struggle to believe, it's almost inevitable that some people will say f*ck the rules. And who can honestly blame them!

Perhaps they should show they are the better person by doing what they can to prevent the spread of this and not act like sheep thinkink it's OK to break the law just because some others do.

But it's not just "some others", it's the very people making the rules. I'm not defending breaking the law. I haven't (to my knowledge) and don't intend to. But once the people at the very top show disdain for their own rules it's inevitable that (some) others will follow.

The point I'm making is they shouldn't just follow, they should be their own person and do what's right. To be honest I'm not sure who at the top, who actually makes the rules, you are referring to.   :unknown:

I have a neighbour, she is a nurse in a hospital, married and teenage kids. Her mother and step father have visited for hours even in the early lockdown. Her husband has been out at 8pm clapping for the nurses every week. Then the nurse and hubby both went down with mild Covid and recovered the other week, minimal symptoms. Teenage kid having a party in the garden tonight must be a dozen of them, no distancing. Kids could still be infected, even if asymptotic ffs!

So she ought to know better being a hospital nurse, and he is a fucking hypocrite clapping for nurses while breaking lockdown. And having both had the disease they now carry on with this behaviour.

It boils my piss! So why not punt, no other fucker is bothering to stick to the rules! Even nurses!

Sorry but I think you are wrong when you say no one is sticking to the rules. A number of people I know have relatives who are in the more at risk group and they are going to a lot of trouble to minimize the chances of infecting others. I wouldn't want to undermine their efforts by ignoring the restrictions and possibly spreading virus about. Your neighbours are right arses.

Amazing. This is despite both of them getting covid19. I think this is rare. I work in a hospital and I don’t know any of them who do this. I know a lot of people who actually moved out of their houses For 2 months while working so that they don’t spread it to their families... this has been heartbreaking for them and their children.
Those that don’t follow the rules are selfish. It does not matter what the top officials in the country do - we know that the UK’s response to the pandemic has left the world aghast. It has been a complete mess - and we had a head start when we saw what happened to Italy. We probably have the worst death rate per population in the world. It is shocking. And still people want to flout the rules.
Well, to be honest I am done with my public service announcement. Do as you please, but don’t kill others around you, including your family, loved ones and friends.

People literally drop like flies in the ward - fine one morning and dead by the evening. Even younger ones. Let’s see what the second wave looks like.

I think it’s a mixture of all those things Mr Chair, my thoughts about my neighbours are unprintable. Now I’ll sound really old, and I wasn’t around in the war, but when you think what people did and sacrificed back then. Compared to some of today’s entitled, anti establishment, ‘it doesn’t apply to me’ twats. I know I have and continue to do the right thing. If I end up clogging up a high dependency ICU bed or asking a healthcare professional to nurse me while putting their life at risk, I’ll know I haven’t brought it upon myself.

Not everyone can say that, including those punting already.

No way am I intending to punt anytime soon. Like others I'm just quietly watching who is working right now, so I can make an informed decision on who I won't be seeing when it's safer in the future, however long that takes.

Why is the economy more important than health and safety?

Because there’s no point living a healthy and safe life in poverty, which unfortunately a lot of people will have to do now going forward...

I am having to decide whether I should keep my business going or close it. How long can I keep it going... what about all the people who have worked with me for many years... I worry for them, I employ a lot of young people what future have they got???

Difficult decision we all have to make at the moment, it’s not always as easy as us all just hiding away hoping things will be okay...

Some people will be fine, you may have a secure job, stable home life, money to keep you going.. I will be fine, but can’t help worrying about the people around me...

I agree it's a very difficult situation, the economy does need to be rejuvenated, but to me there's a world of difference between doing what is essential to achieve that and totally disregarding safety advice for the sake of a shag.

Personally I'm not overly concerned about me catching it, it's who else I could infect that really concerns me. That is why I follow the current guidelines.

The "vulnerable" - in a literal if not medical sense - include young NHS workers as mentioned here who are being subjected to massive risks from viral load.  The more selfish people who get infected through stupid, avoidable actions, the more they are put at risk.

The arguement should be are the NHS working in a safe environment, using correct PPE, following correct infection control. These should be the most important factors. That is why they are vulnerable...Protecting the vulnerable is key, be it not letting them out or ensuring they work in a safe environment.

That did cross my mind. Police need to act. There is a story on another forum about a guy getting a visit from the police for not believing a track and trace call. If that's the case then the agencies also need a knock on the door.

I think trust for some agencies is at an all time low. I'd speculate economically that they will lose more money going forward due to blacklisting than they would gain through openings in these times.
