But an hour later she sent me a message via SMS accusing me of being a timewaster. She then demanded I pay money into her back account, saying she had my photos and would 'out' me on Facebook.

Fortunately, I use a punting phone not linked to my Facebook account and I don't use my surname whereas she'd left her full name on WhatsApp and indicated the area she lived.

She claimed I'd blocked her on WhatsApp (nonsense - she'd blocked me) and that I'd taken down my profile or blocked her on SA (nonsense - I'd done neither and managed to send her a message telling she had now been blocked afterwards).

I can't remember, probably. I agree it's not a good sign if a girl has a limited profile but it is not always indicative and it was shortly after she signed up. She did say later that she had been on SA before but had been mucked around by guys and then alluded to that in her text rant. Fed up with guys failing to fall for her scam, more like.

A lot of girls just tick some boxes without really thinking too much about it, and even if they do, then some are just offering an option rather than ruling out sex.

Therefore, I never pay much attention to boxes, and still message anyway. If a girl writes within her profile text that she is only looking for a non sexual arrangement then I pass by. Virtually all will genuinely mean it unless they meet someone they really, really fancy, so if the SB you met had written this but still had sex with you then I think that is rare and you got lucky.

My personal view, given the nature of the site, is that girls should make it clear in their profile text that they're platonic to save both guys' and their time, and I usually remind them of this if they reply they're not looking for sex etc.

i take "platonic" on a profile as a "indicator" of what the lady wants and doesn't want. i usually ask outright whether they mean platonic under any and all circumstances. usually or at least often the reply is "no, but i want to keep the men away who just want sex, the type who already have a hotel booked when they meet you for the first time. I need to get to know someone first".

i say something like " that's understandable, and i am happy to meet a few times to get to know one another, to build trust and move into an arrangement later when we are both comfortable with each other." and i add "just to be open and honest and to ensure there is no misunderstanding, whilst i will of course pay for drinks or dinner (whichever we do) there won't be any PPM or arrangement until we are both happy to proceed"

Another observation to seeing ‘platonic’ in an SB profile. Likely to deter many guys from contacting the SB - which means she will get less messages. This means your message will be more noticed - so might have a higher success rate?

It depends on the SB age band from my own experience.

The sussess rate is definitely higher and approximately say 80% on those aged between 25 to 35, single mum.

A much lower rate on those who are 19 to 24, at University, hot and fit, probably 10%, hard to find and time consuming. I have 2, both from Surrey, but not on 1st date, 1 was after 3 dates, and the other was after about 5 dates.

Anyway, the success rate of taking them to bed on a 1st date is not a problem. The problem is the rate of success in finding someone you like and get on with, who are genuine to come on date and are genuine to proceed to subsequent dates including intimacy at an allowance that you are happy with. The amount of time, effort and messages back and forth, can sometimes be a very lengthy process.

One of the best experience I had with a SB for about 9 months was similar to how you use Seeking and how you treat them with politeness and respect. That was very rewarding and a very realistic experience.

A lot of hungry men joined Seeking during the 1st and 2nd lockdown back in 2020, so has many SB joined, it became a meat market.

I suppose being nice and being gentlemen is rare on there, when the right SB comes along, you kind of stand out from most

Around where I am, Bournemouth-Southampton-Portsmouth area, there have always been fairly substantial proportion of profiles with just 1 picture (perhaps around a third to half). I just did a quick search of the lastest 10 profiles within 40km of Southampton and counted 6 out of 10 of them as having just a single photo.

That's useful for folks to know. Going on what SCP and you have said, I reckon even if we had agreed a fee, she would have pulled a trick on me too ie paid platonic meets or deposit or both, and an intimate meet wouldn't have happened anyway.
