If the failure of common sense stops two strangers engaging in paid for sex then I'd say it's failing better for those cops than it is for those interfering with individuals observing social distancing whilst out buying "non-essential" items from an open store.

The fundamental objective of the guidelines is crystal clear to all, cops and civvies alike, the guidelines are necessarily open to interpretation because the cops need to be empowered to intervene on any "creative" behaviour by those wilfully defying that objective.

I have to agree with this observation LL.  I see it with younger nephews that I have.  The slightly older ones - above 30 still drink and fornicate in a manner that we can recognise.  The younger ones are so nervous around women, like 10 year olds.  Their idea of a fun night is computer gaming.  A lot like a sexless Japan.

Well said.  As a reminder, nobody will stop Covid until there is a vaccine, some 6-9-12 months in the future.  This lockdown is to prevent so many getting it at once that healthcare services are overloaded.  But, when done, Covid is still around and like Asia, we'll go through a few more lockdowns as this is just an attempt to reduce the pace by which people get it, not reduce the number of people who get it.  Let's hope the virtue signalling Corona-scolds live up to their own standards and stay in their house up until a cure is found.
