There's currently a storyline in Coronation Street where a character called Geoff, a coercive and controlling twat, is seeing an escort on the side. He's been making bookings by email on his password-protected laptop.

This caused my other half to remark to me that she doesn't know my email password (laptop isn't password protected). Actually you DO know my email password love as I've told you it loads of times, and if you use our desktop it's set up to go into my email and you're welcome to have a look anytime.

There's nothing incriminating on any of my devices, but this is a heads up that if your missus is a Corrie fan, the storyline might cause her to go snooping.

Glad you've posted that, sadold; I didn't want to 'out' myself as a Corrie fan on here until someone else started a thread on this topic.

While watching last night's episode, I couldn't help thinking the Escort storyline was a bit phoney in so far as the abused wife's reaction was so very different what I expect my long-departed OH's reaction would have been if she'd found something like this on my laptop.

World War 3 would have broken out in Home Alone Mansion if that had happened!

Which is why I didn't start punting till nearly 2 years after she and 'my successor' had pissed off.

Don't watch it now but I remember when Leanne Battersby started turning tricks. I can't understand the accents so I don't bother.

Of course on Eastenders you had Ian Beale as the ultimate sadsack punter plus Janine Butcher (who is the spit of Kelly who worked several London TCMs) as the square's resident WG.

Anyone brave enough to punt Pat Butcher back in the day?

Corrie has been shit for years !!! used to be funny but its gone doom and gloom like eastenders which is also shit !!

First Geoff was seeing escorts and now Daniel. It makes me think one of the scriptwriters might be a punter 🤔

I don't follow Corrie but happened to see that scene where he knocks on the door and thought 'Oi Oi, whats going on here then?' before nipping on to AW to search escorts in Weatherfield....

Not quite authentic though as she wasn't hiding behind the door in her suspenders. You'd of thought one of the film crew might have put them straight.

They didn't say, unless I missed it, how long he stayed for, but if I heard it right he paid 220 quid. Hopefully he got a couple of hours for that!

She said that included the cost of the room. The poor sap didn't realise she would be seeing other punters in the room 😂
