Throwing your toys out of your pram is probably not a good way to handle the situation.

I once got a bit lost on the way to an SP's location.  I remained calm throughout and she steered me right and is now one of my regulars. These things happen.  Just calm down a little and maybe do a bit of planning in advance.  I usually scout out the area on Google and I guess which building they are going to be in. Most of the time I'm right.  I usually identify a few landmarks I can use on the phone if I get stuck or just go back to a known point that I can easily describe and let the SP guide me from there.

So here's the thing...

I asked this chap to text me when he arrived at my postcode, and provided my number, as is the usual blurb upon confirming a booking.

At 12.34, I was still waiting for a text. It turns out he had messaged my AW account. I never check my AW right before a meet because I can sometimes get caught up in new messages etc. I called to give him directions, but he confused the hell out of me with where he had parked up. The location changed a couple of times within 20 seconds. Proceeded to give the exact same directions as I do to everyone, but he was talking over the top of me with the assumption that he knew where to go, which was incorrect. I stayed on the phone, repeating the directions as he walked and I have no idea where he ended up, but it wasn't at my door! Then he kept asking if he needed to take a left or a right, talking over me the entire time, but without telling me where he even was. It was impossible!! He the then said "just forget it" and ended the call.

I have never had issues like this with anyone before in almost 3 years. I always do my best to give good directions, and even had people compliment me for this, so no idea what went wrong here.

Also, the arrival time for my meets, are the time the clock starts. He never arrived - I don't play games, unless it is in the bedroom 

Would have done my best to explain this on AW feedback but it appears he has no deleted his account or blocked me. I don't feel that this negative is very fair. But it is what it is, I guess.

To me it sounds like you were a bit nervous.  Really it would have been better to just do a reset on your location and started again, so let the SP tell you to go to X and then follow her directions from there.  Instead there was much miscommunication and no doubt added stress and nervousness on both sides. You were both trying to solve the problem but not knowing your position relative to the SP's premises made it impossible.  I've done it once myself, so it is easily done especially if the area has radically changed since Google last visited.  In my case, the SP told me to go back to landmark X and we started again from there and within 2 minutes I was at her front door and we both relaxed into the booking.  i guess lessons have been learned on both sides.  Kicking off about it on here was definitely the wrong way to deal with it though.

You could just have gone home, wound down and sent the SP an apology and perhaps the two of you could have privately resolved the issue especially if you'd seen her before.

The first question I'd have asked her would have been "Are you still working at X like you were back in 20xx?".

If she said no, then I'd have been prepared to have to find my way to hers and I would have arrived early to allow for this.  Usually when I'm seeing someone new I arrive about 15 minutes early and will have identified a discreet place away from the SP's location to hangout waiting for the final directions.  Usually I let them know I have arrived and wait for them to respond. Sometimes they tell me to go straight in and other times they ask me to wait n minutes because they're not ready or they are cautious of a new person trying to get extra time by arriving early.  I go with whatever they are comfortable with but I always take note of when I arrive at the SP's door, so I ensure I don't get less time than I booked.

Never had any issues finding her first place, she wasn't far away around the corner, or something her new place

Have to say her directions were spot on first time I met her and the post code puts you within yards of the place.
It’s a shame you didn’t get to meet Lola OP, I think you would have enjoyed yourself.
I can only suggest you get google maps on your punting phone, takes you right to the door.
I think a Negative might be a bit harsh for her.
