Definitely one to bank for next year, thank you.

Just a reminder that anyone from outside the Cardiff area is NOT allowed to travel into it at the moment, unless you've got a damned good excuse. The Covid numbers are serious there as the infection rate's not dropped like it has in most of England. If you do exit the area, you're breaking the law. The Dyfed and Gwent police forces have also been doing random spot checks on drivers, so be warned (I've been stopped twice over the summer, thankfully on legitimate business). Get stopped once if you don't live there and you'll get turned around, get caught twice and you're up for a fine. Quote: "Police can issue fixed penalty notices or you could be prosecuted and fined by the courts."...and get your name in the local rag. That's for going outside of the Cardiff area. Which you'll have to do if you don't live there and intend returning home.
The main restrictions are:
People are not allowed to enter or to leave or remain away from the Cardiff Council area without a reasonable excuse.
People will no longer be able to form, or be in, an extended household (sometimes called a “bubble”).
This means meeting indoors with anyone who is not part of your household (people you live with) is not allowed at the moment, unless you have a good reason, such as providing care to a vulnerable person.
Basically, best we all avoid the area until this is under control and the restrictions lifted, unless we live there.
