I ‘ve heard that this place has been taken over by Mayuree who runs another gaff under that name at the top of Berry Street. None of the original staff work there now and I’ve not been back since the change. I have been to Mayuree a few times before joining UKP and never had a decent experience so perhaps no surprise things have gone downhill.

Different experiences for different people.......I had an excellent time at Mayuree a couple of years ago, though I accept that building is a tip.
How recent was the takeover? There seemed to be one change of hands a 16 months or so ago when it stopped being part of the "Walton Thai" group???. Are you referring to that change or something more recent?

Something much more recent in the last 6 months.

The previous owner Bea had to sell to cover gambling debts. She’s had it for a couple of years at least before that and it was a legit operation. Just badly managed.

Sad really that so many of the Thai girls have gambling or drink problems.

One of the thai shops in walton has definitely changed hands recently (last 2/3 months) as at least one of the girls has moved across to Runcorn. She didnt give me her name though and was very straight about not wanting some of her customers to know where she had gone!

She already had two shops before she took over the Runcorn one...........can't remember where, Chester maybe?
She also has a link with Srima/Srida as staff get borrowed from there

Has anyone tried the Runcorn shop recently?  Their facebook page has a big no extras disclaimer on it which suggests they're a wholly legit place these days.
