You know something? I looked into it - it has been mentioned once or twice before but over a long period of time but we put it down to user error. .

On mine and Bella’s Satnav it takes us to the correct bit of the street. I tried it on the husbanditos’ sat nav - it takes you not only to the wrong bit of the street but the other side of the main road.  Asked around and it does seem to be a 66/34 split as to whether it takes you to the right place 

So - from Wednesday (the next time Blaire is in Heaton) we are giving the postcode of the opposite side of the road as it seems it’s the one postcode on that street all the sat navs seem to agree on.

It’s not the only instance of a sat nav system not picking up an accurate location of a postcode - we have another lady we need to give very specific instructions for as we get a fair few lost souls even if they are using their sat nav.
