I had to get the train for a long trip last week and though, strange town calls for a bit of strange on my cock too.  Tried logging on with the train’s wifi to UKP only to see, (the jist of it was,)“ Due to trolls using this provider it is not available”.

My brother borrowed the car last week so caught a red bus with free wifi, tried to get UKP only to get the same “Due to trolls using this provider…” message..

WTF is going on?  Is this site now running scared of a few school boy trolls up late on a school night that it has to take such drastic and unnecessary action? Will this soon stretch to Waterstones, Starbucks, Cafe Nero, Restaurants etc....
Isn’t this a self-cleansing site complete with it’s own resident “Troll hunters” that is more than capable of dealing with the occasional attention seeking numpties, white-knights and bored school boys?

This site is home to a motley crew of patrons, horny grown men, from Dockers to Doctors, clever, quick-witted Oscar Wilde types (Yes I do mean you WW) who can quickly sniff out and destroy trolls, Walter Mittie types and white knighters in minutes?
Think of all that valuable punting intell that we may be losing also. 

Just like any armed forces, this  site also needs access and new blood, new members, as a closed shop it will slowly die as members retire or die, caught by wives/partners, stop contributing, fall in love, dick’s no longer work, become pussy-whipped,  find religion or EAS, or (god forbid,)join other sites, etc…

By 2021 if we’re not careful,  UKP will be more like........ “Dads Army.”

I don't think you realize how bad some of the nutcases have been over the years in terms of trying to bring down this forum. And using these public IPs there is no way to identify them returning.

Lots of public places can't log in. I tried the library in two different locations that had WiFi. Got message unable to access sites of an adult nature. OK whilst I was in Hong Kong. But in mainland China sites like ukpunting banned
