It's embarrassing to be caught pulling out of one in public.

I was out last night for a beer with a few coppers and told them OP's story (with details changed).  Their consensus view:

* OP flagged himself up for suspicious behaviour when he blagged his way into the first building
* Receptionist then no doubt put his details out over the local "keep an eye out for" net - most pubs, clubs, shops and hotels in bigger towns and cities  are now signed up to one of these
* There was a plainclothes patrol in the area and a sharp-eyed PC/DC spotted someone matching OP's description
* They detained him and asked for his details and he started trying to tell them the law
* He was either (a) a big, dangerous-looking fucker or (b) a little guy with a big mouth ... so they secured him
* They talked to him a bit more, got what they needed and concluded he was (a) not carrying semtex (b) no threat (c) a stupid little cunt
* They let him go

A perfectly routine night in any big city...
Be nice if the OP confirmed this , its likely he played down his own stupidity to exaggerate how outrageous the police were to him like alot of moaning minnies do

Given the fact that our police force are under extreme pressure and struggling to handle serious criminality,  on reflection I think the lack of response by the poster to questions about the the situation says to me it's a load of BLX

Only the OP really knows, but what you say rings 100% true.

I would perhaps add just one further possibility. To He was either (a) a big, dangerous-looking fucker or (b) a little guy with a big mouth ... so they secured him I would add or was so nervous he looked dead suspicious and perhaps initially panicked and gave a false name (which would be immediately obvious to the police.

I wonder if the “undercover police” exposed themselves and managed to contact the WG to confirm OP story.
Maybe they had better luck than some of the reviews on here.

I find the OPs post plausible, and the above post plausible.

It reminds me of an incident long ago. I was walking away from my car that I had just parked in the city centre. Two plain clothes cops holding up ID walked swiftly towards me. They asked me the reg no of the car that I had just left, which I then told them. I cant really remember but they probably said that a lot of cars were being broken into or stolen recently in the area.

I think that the OP aroused suspicion by walking in and out the first building looking a bit lost, and the receptionist acted on it. There was possibly a lot of thefts/break ins in the building prior to this. Maybe the OP is a youngish person and they tried to bullshit him with ''illegal'' prossy activities nonsense, just to make him feel more uneasy?  Maybe they were just being cunts, who knows.

He need have no worries about anything on his ''record'' as he's not done anything wrong. Sometimes, one can have unpleasant encounters with cops, even though you have done nothing wrong.  Some can be pleasant enough and some can be pigs.

Agree on both counts. There are a lot of people who have dived in on here without either reading the post properly, understanding the words as they've strung them together or just to troll. The police behave in mysterious ways and the chances are that they were in the area and responding to a 'suspicious male' type call.

Either way, no big deal

i think this was a fake police setup designed to scare punters away from rival prosse's etc. Or blackmail attempt.
the OP is experienced punter has lots of reviews.

Having re-read the original post and the lack of responses I see no reason to change my view.
Also, knowing a little of the way procedures are handled by the Police IMO his descriptions of actions lack credibility.

Offline munterhunter

Sounds highly suspicious to me.
As previous posters have pointed out meither the OP or the WG were doing nothing illegal.
Several cops out of uniform staking out a hotel? It would have to be for something fairly serious not just nicking soap and towels. The minute they stop the OP and put the cuffs on him they have blown their cover so you'd think they would be fairly sure they had the right "suspect".
If there's one of him and several of them no need to cuff him unless he was resisting or they were arresting him and taking him to the station.
Just sounds a bit strange.

Several cops out of uniform staking out a hotel?

There is never any mention of a hotel only two buildings one of which ( the wrong one he walked around at first) had a receptionist. The SP apparently works out of an apartment/flat in the city centre.

The problem is that the OP didn't quite tell the whole story and lied, which is probably why he got such a hard time from the police as well as on two forums. He has also failed to answer any of the relevant follow up questions, so this thread is pretty much done.

If you read the girl in question reports, she has something of a history of poor comms/directions similar to what the OP encountered. https://www.ukpunting.com/index.php?action=serviceprovider;id=22543

I would rather you posted it on the open forum to warn other punters and to potentially get her blacklisted. What she is doing is totally wrong. Prostitution is totally legal and thus should not be doing this to innocent men.

How you leap to the conclusion that the WG is obviously an undercover cop as in your previous post or that she should be black listed as what she is doing is totally wrong is completely beyond me, there is not the slightest indication by the OP in any of his posts that the WG was in any way responsible but you somehow come to that conclusion.

Unfortunately it sounds like you had a stressful event.    Just learn from it and move onn, strange things do happen and as long as you learn your lession then it's all good.    Some things are hard to explain to others. Was you drunk?  Had any alcohol?   .    Iv been stoped for nothing in the past and it was a strange experience

Until money has changed hands it's only theoretically prostitution, even if it were illegal. If it were some sort of police sting to attract and then arrest/question suspects, why are they in another building and not waiting behind the door?

Soliciting in public and curb-crawling, both prostitution related, both illegal, neither need money to change hands.   :unknown:

Has everyone gone mad? :dash: :dash:

He’s gone into a building aroused suspicion with an employee she’s watched him leave and then enter a near by building she calls the cops explaining he was behaving oddly. Maybe they have a a lot of burglaries and thefts lately who knows. The cops turn up don’t know what room he’s in so suspect he’s up to no good so wait for him. When they approach he’s nervous scared etc for various reasons his agitated state means they hand cuff him for this and they safety. Pretty standard. As soon as he comes clean he’s let go.

No harm done. Won’t show up on and any check.

Don’t see why everyone S knickers are in such a twist.

Offline myothernameis

they are dressed kind of scruffy track suit bottoms, but they both hold up some ID indicating they are police, they start asking me a few questions like where did I go, who was I seeing etc, I was saying just a friend from work etc, then they knew I was looking nervous and lying and actually put handcuffs on me! started to search me then started asking questions like what my name is, date of birth, where I work etc, also took the items out of my jeans pocket and checked a few of my cards

I suppose the guys who stopped you might not even be police, and if they now have your personal details, you could be easily have been scammed

You do know that the term "identity theft" doesn't mean the actual theft of your identity information from you physically in person, don't you?

Agreed - haven't read all the posts here but having read the OP's original post and replies and got the gist of the disbelievers I must say the posters in this forum live on cloud 9 if they think the police wouldn't do exactly what happened. That's a situation that happens ALL the time, whether punt related or not...

Vast majority of Police don't know the laws they spout at you and are making shit up as they go along. Check out the crime bodge u-tube channel for a long list of Police behaving far worse than OP's post on a regular basis.

To OP, I believe your story (for what it's worth) but assuming they just ran your details through the database to check you are who you say you are - then nothing will be logged or come of it. I've been stopped twice by police (once at airport and one non-punting related) and they've done the whole rigmerol of checking (minus cuffs but they did have MP5s and lots of them so not like I was a threat), and nothing is logged.  You're good to go. Forget about it and move on...

Nonetheless, there are still going to be a few sherlocks of limited brainpower who will continue to smell a rat, a fair few trolls who just like to stoke conflict and keyboard warriors who like to call people out for the fun of it.

Got to be said, this is a good example why punters needs to just chill out while trying to find a wg. we have all been there scrambling trying to find the correct location/door number.

But if you're in place with a reception/security, don't act suspicious, otherwise police will be called. To anyone found in such a situation with police/security just say you're meeting the mistress simple.
