Or you might realise that the romanian stereotype is mostly that, a stereotype: there's lots of Romanian providers, and a lot of them are bad, just as a lot of providers of other nationalities are bad. This is a sport with 50% possibility of disappointment, regardless of nationality, and Romanians can be very good, and are at the absolute top of hotness (along with Russians, who are more expensive and way rarer, though).

Yes there are some good Rom punts out there but one can only draw upon their own experiences and that of others. That to me brings a reasonable material assumption of what to expect during a punt from a Rom.

Yes I do.  If you have not woken up to the fact by now that the ethnic origin of a SP has a significant bearing on the type of punt you will receive and how much you pay then not sure where you have been.  There will always be exceptions, that is a given. If you want to place a label on this comment as stereotypical that's fine by me.

Us punters need every edge we can get,  it can help to share valid generalisations about nationality as long as we don't over generalise.

The fact Roms got a rep for giving bad service obviously has nothing to do with nonsense about any one race being better than others.

But it can relate to different conditions in the country of origin.  At the risk of getting another bitch slap from King Tarzan,  back in the 80s a large portion of Romanian children were raised in orphanages with an extreme atheist/ communist ideology. According to studies I've read,  it stopped them developing into normal adults, their brains have trouble processing emotions.  Over 90% of the females became prostitutes as it was all they could do, and makes sense they'd give cold service as they don't know how to do any better.

Those orphanages were closed down or replaced in the 90s, so its to be expected the stereotype is already less true that it would say 5 years ago.   Some of the latest stats show Romanians have started treating their poor children better than we do in the UK so unfortunately for us the stereotype might soon reverse.
