In case it might be helpful to anybody I'll write a quick review of secretbenefits and whatsyourprice that I tried over the past couple of months. I know this is the "Seeking" thread so in case this is off-topic I ask a moderator to move this to its own thread.
Secretbenefits:
I bought 1000 credits for about 289$ (217 GBP) and they lasted me for about three months. It costs 10 credits to unlock a conversation (or to try to open one writing to someone new) so I had about 90 conversations (because I used 100 credits in other ways, see later). Out of those 90, I would say probably 70 were initiated by the girl, and in probably 50 cases the same girl didn't respond after my first message back (that I try to write as nice, non generic, relatively informative about me and what I look for, etc.). From those 20 conversations that lasted a bit longer I ended up meeting (if I remember correctly) 5 people, sleeping with 4 (the fifth one was too different from her pictures and I didn't find her attractive). With respect to Seeking, where alongside a lot of money-based arrangements I also met a bunch of women that were not specifically interested in money, people on SB seem to be 1) all specifically interested in money-based arrangements, 2) not particularly chatty or interested in establishing a connection before meeting, quite matter-of-factly interested in talking about money and then setting up a meeting, 3) very flaky in conversation, disappearing randomly after previously engaging relatively seriously, 4) generally of lower intellectual level than what I was used to on Seeking.
The profiles on the site seem mostly real, and when I reported a clearly AI-generated one it disappeared quickly. That doesn't mean that the site is not scammy, as it clearly is: I know for a fact that they revive old accounts and they make them look as online when they are not. I know because I spotted someone I know on the site, she admitted that she had made an account but denied vigorously that she was still using it, and was quite distressed when I told her that she had been appearing online for most of the previous two weeks. She ended up removing all her pictures and closing the account. Other signs of fake activity are from the fact that writing certain accounts of particularly hot women that look online in that moment (i.e. they appear on top of the list of accounts with a vivid green dot) results in absolutely nothing (meaning in particular that those accounts didn't even bother opening my profile, which seems absurd and didn't happen on Seeking).
Not sure if the tons of conversations that didn't continue after the first message are also scammy, it might as well be. I just ended up accepting that no conversation was really happening until it moved to whatsapp or Telegram. The number of people on the site is WILDLY lower than on Seeking. Judging from the number of people who look at my profile (5-6 per day) even when I'm logged in constantly, from new accounts that pass my filter (3-4 per day) and the number of messages I get (1-2 per day) I would estimate SB to be at least 10 times if not 20 smaller than Seeking. Women possibly on the younger side, but not necessarily more attractive, and the youth is also not necessarily a plus.
The 4 people I ended up sleeping with were:
- attractive (7), intelligent, alternative greek girl with whom I had fun for a couple of meetings but wasn't motivated to move forward. She asked for 400, seemed a good deal to me, remained overnight on the second meeting which was at my place.
- disappointing (in terms of attractiveness, 5/6) turkish girl with whom I had a fun enough dinner that I accepted to go through with an arrangement, before realising too late that I really didn't find her attractive. Ended up not being able to get hard, and wasting the 400 quid I had promised her. Still had a nice conversation, though.
- hot petite latina (8) who asked for 500 and seemed worth it. Good conversation, great fuck. I might see her again.
- hot petite indian (8.5), again happy with 500, smart and interesting, very passionate in bed. Will see her again.
I had a couple ones who asked for 800 and didn't budge. I'm in talk with a couple more for 500 who seem pretty hot. The hottest woman I tried to score there asked for 1000, I told her I would absolutely not go above 600, she accepted but then she flaked and I didn't chase further.
The most annoying aspect of the site is related to all the thousand ways they try to extort you money other than with unlocking conversations: 10 credits to watch the private pictures of someone, 10 credits per video, 10 credits to "boost" a message making it pop up on someone's list, 10 credits to get read receipts... I avoided most of these, except that sometimes one clicks by mistake on something and ends up wasting 2 quid: when that happens it's absolutely infuriating, and I must have wasted about 20 pounds with this shit. Another infuriating thing is that the messages disappear after about a month, so you lose any conversation that hasn't moved to WA or Telegram (although you can still message that person).
The most disconcerting experience on SB (one that still worries me if I think about that) was when I met the first girl who seemed a good prospect: she arrived to dinner with me quite tipsy after an afternoon out with a girlfriend, we bonded pretty well over dinner while she drank three more cocktails that led her to a state of heavy drunkenness, while in the meantime she told me of her previous arrangement with a guy that gave her 6000 quid a month for years but ended up in jail for some kind of financial scam (and kept giving her money from jail for a while!). She was just too drunk to go through with it for the evening so I accompanied her to the tube: I wanted to take her to the train station and put her on her train home (she was from some village north of London) but she asked me not to go on the tube with her because she thought she would throw up while in it. Ended up kissing me promising we would have a wild night the next time we would meet... and then her phone went silent, she didn't block me or anything. She simply never logged on SB any more, never reappeared on WhatsApp (that still reports her last login on that night). I wonder what happened to her.
Whatsyourprice:
Really not worth it for a few reasons: 1) the most attractive women on it use it to find arrangements, so it's basically mostly a way to arrange meet and greets for money, which is not the right thing to do, 2) the number of users is ridiculously low (probably 1/10 of secretbenefits), and one always sees the same accounts popping up, 3) the number of credits needed to unlock a conversation depends on how much money is on offer. I think the minimum is 15 credits and I don't remember what the maximum I paid (for a 500 quid offer) was, but it must have been around 10 quid overall and I thought "never again" 4) it's unclear what one gets for a high offer: I tried offering 500 for the hottest woman on the site, she matched (which ended up costing me said 10 quid), only to tell me that for 500 she was OK for dinner and for an actual arrangement she wanted a thousand, 5) the site on mobile is unacceptably slow.
Still, if what you want is to find people to go out for dinner with, I ended up offering 50/80 to a few people who ended up accepting, and came to dinner with me. In a couple of cases there was no chemistry, in one the lady clearly wanted to bed me at the next opportunity (but I ended up closing contacts because I set up a relationship that sadly didn't last), and in another case I am now dating a lady who seem keen to continue seeing me. So... YMMV, but I ended up thinking that maybe as a way to find dates where I end up offering basically taxi money or taxi + nails it's possibly not too bad.
I hope this helps!
