Sorry to hear that. A massive shame you wasted money on what could’ve been put to a good punt. She should’ve been upfront and ended it on her accord without receiving payment but experiences like this will  encourage her to continue this. I quite often de activate my account if I have enough interest and want to slow things down. You can do this via "Settings" where it gives you the choice to deactivate or close your account.

If you follow the deactivate instructions just at the end it gives you multiple choices asking for the reason. This time for the first time, I ticked the box for "Don't like the auto renewal". Later that day I got an email to to say auto renewal had been turned off for my account and sure enough when I checked, it had been.

Deactivating your account means just that, you can log back on any time by just doing so as normal. It's actually an easier way to cancel auto renewal than the method as described in their FAQ's

It looks like it's the same from the FAQ's but I found that at least I now have it in writing that my auto renewal has been cancelled whereas when you do it via settings you don't get that. Just thought I'd mention that it is another way of cancelling auto renewal and getting proof from Seeking.

I cancel in between every month and keep normal membership for for couple of weeks.
1. I already get in touch with few ladies to communicate and plan meets ahead....enough on my plate to handle after each monthly membership.
2. Taking a break of one or two weeks in between every month...saves cost of 1-2 months membership by the end of the year.

This must be a fairly recent change as when about 2 years ago, i deactivated my account (as opposed to just not logged in for a while) i then found an auto renewal  payment request had failed because of insufficient funds in the account i keep solely for Seeking. When i questioned this with Seeking, they told me deactivation did not cancel the auto renewal - this had to be done separately. I remember quite clearly arguing with them "who would want to pay when they have deactivated their account".
 
So maybe be careful about this. It is actually quite easy to cancel the auto renewal, i would now always do that first to be sure!.
