Spot on again Matty,  just a shame that the response would be increased touting instead of the prossy trying to take feedback and improve the service.

The touting would be easier to do, so that is the option they would take. It is human nature.

I like the idea of both but my concern with rogues in particular is that the individuals concerned may get lost in the thread. I quite like douchebags having their own personal thread

I'm guessing that the rogues gallery would be locked,  so the scumbags would need their own active thread as well.

The hall of fame idea makes it too easy for newbies and long-time-lurkers to just drop in and take, take, take with no incentive for them to do their own research.  They should be reading lots and lots of different threads here to get the information they're looking for and this then hopefully encourages them to get more involved and start contributing to the forum themselves.  It's worthwhile encouraging new members to contribute here since they are often the most prolific review-posters for a short-while. 

By the way I'm not saying that everyone here has to post reviews - there are lots of other ways to contribute.

I see repeated references to Adam and Nik's involvement in the ideas presented here but I think if they were interested then they would have jumped in by now.

I'm wholly in favour of a Hall Of Shame - there was a really half-hearted attempt on PN to get one started, but it never took off at all. Clear guidelines should be laid down so that it doesn't become just a place to slag people for trivial reasons, but B+S merchants, for example, should be named and shamed.
